When I'm sitting with my old dog, in the quiet moments between playful barks and tail wags, a subtle ache settles in my heart. An anticipation of what is soon to come weaves its delicate threads through our daily routine, as I cherish each shared sunrise and sunset, acutely aware of the inevitable dusk that looms ahead. The gentle padding of paws becomes a poignant melody, a reminder of the impending silence that will echo through empty spaces one day. Yet, in this melancholy dance with the passage of time, there's a beauty in savouring the present, in treasuring the warmth of companionship while preparing to bid a tearful farewell to my loyal friend.
