A late post about Sambo. So sorry for this. I have many doggy things happening and I lose track of time.
This video was taken a few days after Sambo came from the vet clinic and his skin was so so dry. It still is in places especially his head.
The wound on his ear was his worst wound, but it is almost better now at the time of this post.
Honestly, this little guy is just divine β€οΈ

Sambo, just after arriving at my house from being at the vet. This poor little guy is just so sweet. He is on medication for his wounds and he is getting extra special food to help him recover faster and gain strength.
He will stay with me for a while as he cannot go back where he was in this condition. To be honest I don't think it is the best thing for him to go home anyway as I worry about him being put back in a cage and left like he doesn't matter.
Sambo, was placed in my room. My room is usually the first place that new dogs to my home stay as it is easier for me to keep an eye on them.
We could use more coconut oil and salmon oil for Sambo and the rest of the dogs. If anyone could help us with that it would be great.

π Sambo π
When I first saw Sambo my heart ached so much for him. This poor little guy was in a dirty cage, in a dirty environment, and he had so many wounds π
His eyes were full of green discharge, he smelt really bad, his feet were swollen, and he had many wounds all over his tiny body.
I really wasn't prepared for this. I thought I was going to help a dog that just needed some Simparica. He needed more than that.
Sambo needed the vet asap. As many of you know my vet bills are through the roof and I was searching desperately searching for a way to help him. Luckily Rita Bennett allowed me to put Sambo on her account. Thank you so much for that Rita we appreciate it so so much β€οΈ
I had Edy drive the bike to where Sambo was, which was about 30 minutes from here, and pick Sambo up and take him to the vet. There was no way Sambo was going one second longer without getting his wounds cleaned, the maggots removed, and getting a hair cut. Actually, he had to have all his hair removed due to his condition and sadly the vet said he smelt of gasoline π
Sambo is doing much better and he will continue treatment here with me and my dogs. He doesn't need to stay at the vet, but he also can't go home.
Your support helps me to look after dogs like Sambo. It helps me provide them with food, medicines, salmon oil, coconut oil, and keep them safe and clean.
We need $50 today to pay the meat delivery and $120 for rice asap so we can buy it hopefully by tomorrow due to Wednesday being a Balinese holidsy and we won't be able to get rice that day.

Yani was so weak upon arrival at the clinic. She couldn't even stand up to go to the toilet. It has taken a long time for Yani to become strong and she still has a way to go, but now she can run and move much faster than before which is fantastic.
Yani - who has been in the clinic since before New Year π Yani was found weak, exhausted, hit by a car or scooter, in a drain. Yani was so weak she was putting her nose and mouth into the water and I thought she was going to drown. Being wet season I was terrified it would rain and it was difficult for me to get her out of the drain alone, but there was no way I was leaving her there.
I know it is a little unorthodox but I propped her nose and mouth up out of the water with wood and bamboo. I had arranged with Jeffry, a local dog catcher and his team, to come and help me get Yani out of the drain. They also transported Yani to the clinic for me which cost $29 AUD or 291,200 IDR.
Yani had a lot of wounds on her body. You could see her bone in her tail, her elbow was torn, her leg had abrasions, and she was so weak she couldn't walk. She has been in the clinic a long time recovering. She was severly anemic and even though the PCR tests for blood parasites came back negative she has been having treatment for it anyway. It has taken Yani a long time to recover, to gain strength, to walk, and to heal. Yani had her first vaccine last week and she is ready to leave the clinic. I am still not sure where I can put her, but that is another story.
π²π²π² Yani's bill at this time is up near $863 or 8,625,500 π she doesn't have a final bill yet as she has not been discharged. But everyday she stays there is more added to the bill. She needs to come out asap. But her bill needs to be paid. If you could help us pay her bill we would be so grateful.

Yani was so weak upon arrival at the clinic. Her temperature was high. Her white blood cell count was high. Her red blood cell count was low and she was anemic.

Tiny β€οΈπΎπ
Tiny is a Distemper survivor πͺπͺπͺ I really thought I was going to lose her, but she has defied the odds and kept going. Her sisters Minka and Cola passed away due to this terribly sad virus and it was such an overwhelming and heartbreaking experience.
I will never forget how hard Minka and Cola tried to fight the Distemper. Tiny fought hard also and luckily she made it through.
Tiny has suffered and has life long disabilities because of it. Absolutely heartbrealking to know she was once a very bright normal dog and now she just isn't quite the same π
Tiny is my fragile puppy. She will always be vulnerable and she has an extra special place in my heart. As you can see in the video she sticks to me like glue. She also sticks to Edy in the same way.
Sadly, Tiny has had a few seizures post Distemper. They don't last long, but they are there all the same. This virus really is nasty. I hope and pray that Tiny doesn't have many seizures during her life, but if she does I will always be there by her side.
Your support helps me to help dogs like Tiny. There are many dogs here with special needs. They all require different food and extra love and support. I wouldn't have it any other way. I am blessed to be able to help them. They deserve it as do all of the dogs here.
We always need help with food. We are nearly out of rice and meat again. We MUST PAY OFF THE HUGE VET BILLS also.
Please help us, we need you now more than ever πππ
