Kenzo & Blacky
Two lives transformed through compassion ❤️‍🩹

At the end of August, we found two elderly dogs roaming the street in front of their house, both suffering from mange. Kenzo’s condition was particularly severe.

We followed them home and met their family. As is often the case in rural Bali, they lacked the knowledge and resources to understand their dogs’ sickness or provide the treatment they desperately needed.

Thankfully, we could help. With one dose of Bravecto each, alongside regular nutritious food, both dogs began to recover.

Today, Kenzo and Blacky are almost unrecognizable. Their skin has healed, their health has improved and they can once again enjoy life in comfort. Seeing them happy and healthy reminds us why this work matters.

Yet many more animals are still suffering from treatable conditions. Their healing depends on whether someone is able to step in.

For just USD 25, one tablet of skin medicine can treat three to four dogs. Your donation could bring relief to animals enduring similar painful sicknesses and offer hope to families who simply cannot afford treatment.

Help us bring relief to Bali’s suffering cats. 🐈

Mange is not a condition that affects dogs alone. Cats can suffer from it, too. Caused by parasitic mites, feline scabies can lead to severe itching, skin irritation, crusting and hair loss.

Without treatment, it spreads from face and neck across the body and can transmit to other cats through close contact.

We found Tongtong in the street and followed him to a home where he receives food and shelter. Sadly, he is suffering from severe feline scabies with the discomfort he is enduring written all over him.

Thankfully, with the right medication, this condition is treatable. We applied Revolution Plus Spot On to help Tongtong recover and protect him against parasites. Once he is better, we plan to have him neutered and vaccinated.

We are finding more and more cats, both strays and those belonging to local families, in need of treatment. Therefore we would like to keep essential medication available so we can help as many as possible.

Forever loved 🩵

Just three months ago, Mogli was a tiny puppy found in a heartbreaking condition, facing a very difficult start to life.

Through patience, dedicated care and the love of our team, this once fragile little boy gradually blossomed into the happy, playful and affectionate puppy he was always meant to be.

When Maeva and her boyfriend Luis visited our Safe House earlier this month hoping to adopt, Mogli quickly found his way into their hearts. The connection was immediate and they knew he was the one they wanted to welcome into their family.

After lovingly preparing for his arrival, they returned to bring their little boy home.

What makes Mogli’s new beginning even more special is that he is joining a family that already has a connection to our rescue work. Last year, Maeva’s father adopted Rose, Maya’s sister, giving her the loving home she deserved. Now, Mogli will grow up alongside another rescue who was once waiting for her second chance.

He is already settling beautifully into his new life surrounded by love, which fills our hearts with so much joy. From a vulnerable, sick puppy to a cherished family member, his journey is the kind of happy ending we dream of for every rescue.

Thank you, Maeva and Luis, for choosing adoption and giving Mogli the future he has always deserved. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and countless beautiful memories together.

Sterilization is the prevention that saves lives. ❤️‍🩹

Every day in Bali, unwanted litters are born into a world already struggling to care for the animals who are here. Puppies and kittens are left on the streets, exposed to disease, hunger, accidents and suffering. Many will never know the safety of a loving home.

This is why sterilization is so important. It addresses the problem at its root, preventing unwanted pregnancies before more lives are brought into circumstances they cannot escape. It helps break the cycle of overpopulation and abandonment and protects animals from certain reproductive health risks.

This Thursday, 23 dogs and cats are registered for our next health day at our sterilization facility. Some are strays, while others belong to low-income families who love their animals but cannot afford the procedure themselves.

Each sterilization costs $30 USD, meaning we need at least $690 USD to cover the 23 registered animals and more to help those who may arrive on the day.

We urgently ask for your support to make this health day possible. Every donation helps prevent another unwanted litter, another life born into suffering and another future we may not have the resources to save.

We cannot rescue our way out of overpopulation. Prevention is essential to creating lasting change for Bali’s animals.

More Than a Pageant. A Chance to Make a Difference. ❤️‍🩹

A weekend celebrating Bali’s dogs, their transformations and the second chances every animal deserves.

At Bali’s first Indonesia’s 1st Beauty Pawgeant at beachwalk Shopping Center, we were honoured to represent the dogs who are so often overlooked, share the reality they face and show what love, rehabilitation and a safe home can make possible. We also had the opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of sterilization in preventing future suffering.

Our sweet Oreo competed in Best Tripod and may not have taken home the title, but he certainly won a lot of hearts. ❤️ He had the best time meeting everyone and soaking up all the love.

A huge congratulations to our rescue Alfie Alfie Solomun, who competed in Best One-Eyed Dog, made it to the finals and took second place! We couldn’t be prouder of our boy. 🥹

Even more meaningful, 100% of the event’s profits will support our spay and neuter program, helping prevent unwanted litters and reduce animal suffering here in Bali. Because every second chance matters, but prevention is what can change the future for so many more.

A heartfelt thank you to Indonesia’s 1st Beauty Pawgeant and the entire organizing team for inviting us, standing alongside Bali’s dogs and supporting our work.

The reality of Bali’s street dogs 💔

Across Bali, you will find dogs like him on almost every street corner. Overlooked and invisible as people rush by and turn a blind eye to their suffering.

Do you see him?

We found this little boy wandering the streets, his body ravaged by mange. With not much hair left on his body and his skin hurting, he appears to be beyond hope.

Where others may see a dog too broken to help, we see a life that matters. A soul that feels pain, deserves kindness and still has the chance to recover.

The heartbreaking truth is that mange is often relatively quick to treat. With the right skin medication, such as Bravecto, even severely affected dogs can begin to heal within weeks. The transformations shared across our feed are proof of what timely treatment can achieve.

We gave him Bravecto hidden in food, allowing the medication to begin working while he continues his journey towards recovery.

We have also added him to our daily street-feeding route to ensure he receives ongoing care. Once he has recovered, he will be neutered and vaccinated against rabies through our program, giving him a better chance at a healthier future.

But he is only one of so many.

Drive through Bali, especially into its villages and you will encounter countless dogs suffering from untreated skin conditions. Many have never known the comfort of a home or the relief of proper medical care. They depend on the kindness of people willing to stop, see them and take action.

Right now, we urgently need your help. Our supply of skin medication is running low and without support, we will be unable to treat as many suffering dogs as we would like to.

A donation of just USD 25 provides treatment for up to four dogs. Your contribution allows us to purchase the medication here locally and reach more animals in desperate need.
