Positive reinforcement / reward based / clicker training and gentle release of pressure based handling by Certified and Insured Equine Trainer and Coach.
Training at a reduced rate for Livery clients + handover of training with coaching lessons.
Horse-led, force free cooperative care training can include:
- Trailer loading
- Husbandry Training such as standing for grooming, clipping, bathing, offering feet for hoofcare, injections etc.
- Introducing tack, despooking
- voice and body cues on the ground, long reining, transferring cues to the saddle.
- trick training: liberty leading, kiss, sit, fetch, stand stay, send around objects etc.
Holistic Horse Livery - meeting the fundamental equine needs for Friends, Forage and Freedom:
- Living in a stable mixed herd; ages from 15months - 15 years old, mares and geldings.
- Slow, horse-led introductions to the herd.
- Quality ad lib forage in soft trickle nets at both ends of the track and separate shelter and watering areas to encourage movement.
- Natural mixed species hedges to browse on.
- Daily feeds
- FEC led deworming protocol in place.
- Loafing areas both on track and on grass.
- Natural scratching areas on suitable trees.
- 170m surfaced track on a slight incline; 24/7 hours turnout year-round, even in wet weather.
More movement and natural behaviour results in calmer, more relaxed equines.
- Ideally suited to those prone to laminitis or equines requiring to be off grass for weight management.
- Retired and 'pet' equines welcome.
- Fields available for grazing in drier months.
- Additional 1km grass and dirt track in summer, weather dependant.
- Quiet roads for walking out / hacking
- Stables and indoor arena available nearby.
