Order Of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Rathdrum The Order of Malta Ambulance Corps is a voluntary ambulance and first aid organisation The Order of Malta is an registered charity.

Order of Malta Ambulance Corps Rathdrum Unit was first established in the 1980’s and has been providing a range of services to Rathdrum, Wicklow, and surrounding communities since then. These services include first aid and ambulance cover at a range of sporting events including local athletic club races, national cycle events, off road motor racing, equestrian events, GAA fixtures, public events a

nd festivals, public first aid training, 4x4 ambulance support to the National Ambulance Service during extreme weather events, and ambulance transport to persons with infirmity or disability who cannot use routine transport to attend clinical or social appointments. All these services are provided by our volunteer members who also contribute to the running of the unit in terms of organisation and fundraising. As part of a nationally registered charity the Rathdrum Order of Malta Unit is solely dependent on funds that can be raised locally and exclusively through donations and where possible grant funding. Today, The Order Of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Rathdrum was out in full force supporting two fantastic events! 🚑💪

We were delighted to join our colleagues from the Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Bray at a motocross event, bringing along our 4x4 to ensure the safety and care of all participants and spectators. 🏍️✨

Meanwhile, we had a crew in our ambulance in Aughrim, providing first aid cover for the Wicklow GAA matches. 🏐⚾

It was a privilege to be part of these amazing events, and we hope everyone—spectators and participants alike—had a safe and enjoyable day!

Our volunteer crew had a fantastic day providing first aid cover at a thrilling motorcycle grass track event! The high-energy atmosphere, roaring engines, and skillful riders made it an unforgettable experience.

While ensuring the safety of participants and spectators alike, we thoroughly enjoyed being part of the excitement. It's always rewarding to see everyone coming together to enjoy such a spirited event.

Tonight, our volunteers in the Order Of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Rathdrum came together for another productive training session. 🩺✨

We focused on mastering clear and effective airway techniques and practiced on the correct use of slings. These critical techniques are vital in ensuring we continue to deliver the highest standard of care to those in need.

On Sunday we had volunteers providing first aid cover for an athletics event in Greystones.
