So itβs New years eve again! With just under 2 hours before the next 365 days of 2025 begin.
First I would like to thank you all for everything you have done to help us, help as many cats and kittens as possible in this past last year. From liking and sharing our posts and stories, to sheading a tear with us when a loved one passes, and of course the care and attention given to the most precious of all cats (in my opinion) is our free roaming beauties.
This year we have trapped 383 cats.
Rescued 40 cat & kittens, helped to privately rehome 28 beautiful fur babies and 56 cats & kittens were microchipped. As you may well know, we will not under any circumstances rehoming a cat or kitten by private adoption or official CCN adoption without it being neutered first.
We launched a pilot scheme in 2024, where people can avail of discounted neutering & microchipping of their domestic gods and goddess, which got another 26 cats neutered.
When we first came up with the idea of just doing TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) back in 2012 when Community Cats Network was born, our little baby was told that no one in Ireland will help feral cats never mind paying money to get them neutered.
With β¬28.50 in our newly formed bank account we set off with enthusiasm, passion and of course a whole lotta insanity!
Tonight, with far less enthusiasm but the passion still burns bright and the insanity a whole lot brighter, we can lay claim to 10,680 cats that have been given the gift of kindness and loveβ¦sorry I have to put that number in text
βTen Thousand Six Hundred & Eightyβ

Our Rosie in the city, Thank you Rosie for going in and out of housing estates all over the city chasing cats.
In West Cork, Katherine Murphy and Lina VenckΕ«naitΔ PetkeviΔienΔ trainee trappers and fosterers. Thank you so much for you help and bear with me for another while if you can
And not forgetting the Feral shed master himself, Jim Dwyer for making sure that every feral cat or kitten that comes into his Feral shed is treated with nothing but kindness and respect, changing cat litters and bedding in the middle of the night so the feral's have a good sleep before neutering and clean safe bedding with good food for when they come back from the vets. Thousands of cats have come through his hands via the feral shed over the years and everyone got the respect they deserve from Jim.
Thank you all, on behalf of all our beloved free roaming and feral felines.
