The hardest post I’ve ever had to post .. unfortunately Casper who many of you will know and have met at nearly all of our events parted company from one of our longest volunteers Catherine O'Keeffe. Were absolutely heartbroken 💔 for Catherine who absolutely loved this guy from 6 months old when she adopted him from us in May 2014.
Casper became very ill and while everything possible was done he just couldn’t fight any longer.
As everyone who’s ever lost a beloved pet knows this is the worst pain ever and he’ll be hugely missed by us all at Rehoming Cork Pets

Taking this little one under our wing today thanks to two Karens (not all Karens are Karens).
So Karen One found this lovely little kitten and kept it safe while we sorted foster care with Karen Two.
Ladies, thank you both for your kindness and support!
We have no idea if it’s male or female etc
It will go to our vets for a full check-up etc and then once ready, will be available for rehoming (we need it booked or we’ll be tempted to keep it ourselves, absolutely stunning kitten).

Daisy & Millie came into our care in February
They eventually left us on 12th July for their new homes in Sweden 🇸🇪
Thanks to Aoibhinn West Cork Animal Welfare Group for taking the girls to meet Hundar Utan Hem who are just amazing with all they do for the Irish dogs, well in the thousands that they’ve taken and rehomed in Sweden 🇸🇪
Amazing team work ladies xx.

Two 9 week old kittens, they have been hand fed since they were 1 week old as they were abandoned, they are now fully weaned, wormed and healthy.

The white kitten is a male and the tabby is a female kitten. We have provisionally named the boy paddy and girl Dot just while we had them with us. They re both very playful and friendly, it would be great if they could go together but not a requirement. They just turned 9 weeks old today.

They will be microchipped, fully vaccinated (return to vet for 2nd vaccine) flea & worm treated and will come with a voucher to fully cover the cost of their spay/neuter
Adoption fee is €80 per kitten and application is by email only by requesting an adoption from [email protected]

XL BULLY DOGS are to be banned in Ireland.

It’s understood that the ban will be implemented in two phases, the first of which will take effect in October, and then in February of next year.

From October, it will be illegal to breed, import, sell, or rehome the controversial breed.

It means there can be no new owners of XL bully dogs from October.

Then from 1 February 2025, it will be illegal to own an XL Bully unless the owner has a Certificate of Exemption, which ensures that a dog has a licence and is microchipped and is neutered.

Other possible criteria for owning an XL Bully will be discussed with the Stakeholder Group on Dog Control, which was established to advise on these issues.

It’s understood that after 1 February, any owner not compliant with the new regulations will have their dog seized and euthanized.

Lovely Millie is popping in to tell everyone her amazing wonderful news: she’s been adopted by a wonderful family who adopted another dog from us last year! They came and met her this evening, and it was love at first sight for everyone 🥰🥰🥰

😘 UPDATE … Louis (previously Blue) all settled in his new home. He was groomed today, doesn't he look amazing 😍😍 Only problem as his lovely new owner says “I'm afraid to take him out in case it rains. 😂” only summer in Ireland 🇮🇪
We’re absolutely thrilled to see Louis looking so fabulous xx

Shihtzu x Pug, male neutered and 7yrs old
Teddys is looking for a forever home where he’s the only dog as he’s not too fond of other dogs but he’s great with people and kids but as he’s a senior we reckon he’d benefit from a home of older kids or just adults.
Fully vaccinated, microchipped and he’ll be fully checked over by our vet in the next few days

Micro-chip will be transferred by the rescue to new owner.

Female chocolate labradoodle only 14months old absolutely stunning 😍

Reasons for rehoming?
Increased work and family commitments meaning I don’t have enough time to give her.

House-trained? Yes

Good on the lead for walking? Yes

Any food aggression issues? No

Travelling - is your pet used to traveling in the car? Yes

General temperament - how is your dog with children, with other dogs, with cats/chickens etc.
Great with kids (we have three and she is very playful with youngest 6 year old). Very sociable with other dogs, loves running and playing with other dogs. She has not been exposed to other animals.

How is your dog on visits to the vet and/or groomer? Groomers say she is very calm she has always been calm at the vet.

A great all round dog a fantastic addition to any family ..
