The day has arrived as the U2 song says “outside it’s America “

Seddon heads into battle for the USA Grand National in what can only be described as something we could never have imagined.

The syndicate recently passed our sixth birthday. It is safe to say that when we set out on this journey the USA Grand National did not feature heavily in mine and Johnny’s early discussions 😂😂

The first ambition was to have a runner in a race and hopefully some day have a winner. We have enjoyed twenty winners all of them cherished all of them special moments. Magical times and fun shared .

We know the size of the task we face today .We know brilliant as Seddon is this is very much and away fixture for us . Seddon since we have owned him has shown class ,courage,a will to win combined with a depth of character that is nothing short of remarkable.

We respect the USA challenge and our fellow Irish raider. Seddon has done so much for us everyone involved already ,he could never owe us anything. We brought him to the USA Grand National because John McConnell has had this race in mind for over a year . Seddon has earned the right to try to bring John’s vision to life. We feel very luck to have John McConnell as our trainer. We are very grateful for everything he has delivered for us to date .John has not only trained Seddon to win ,he has also won for us with Mokhalad, Stanhope and Fastman .

The team at Rockview Stables has done a remarkable job with Seddon. We are forever in all of your debt . To Amy who has the most special of bond with Seddon we thank you for everything you do and have done for Seddon. We also know what a big role your bond has played in Seddon’s success to date .

As always our number one priority is the safe return of Seddon and Ben Harvey . Once we get the duo back in one piece we will already be winners in our eyes . We try ,we go for it ,whatever result we get today. Seddon has taken us to places we had only dreamed about .We are so grateful to be involved with him and be part of Seddon’s story .

As weeks go it does not get much bigger for ourselves. Fastman will run at Gowran park on Tuesday . Galaxy hero Stanhope will return to his beloved Navan on Wednesday to try to get his fourth career victory at the county Meath venue .

Seddon has safely made it to the USA as he continues his preparations . His journey has gone well ,Seddon will line up in the USA Grand National on Saturday at Far Hills .

Thursday,we have been invited to the Irish consulate in New York for a celebration of Irish horse racing ,along with our fellow Irish competitors at Far Hills on Saturday. We have a large contingent travelling to New York through the week. It should be a great occasion.

Seddon has been amazing horse to us all .We get to enjoy another adventure with this most talented and gorgeous of racehorses. As long as we get Seddon and Ben Harvey home in one piece ,we will take whatever the racing gods give us after that .

We thank all the team at Rockview stables for the care and dedication they give to Seddon along with every horse we have had in the yard. We especially thank our trainer John McConnell for all his work . The other key person in Seddon’s life is Amy Crook ,who’s incredible bond with Seddon is a big part of his story and success.

Friday ,we are delighted to announce we have won the Airo racing syndicate of the year award for 2023 .We are very proud to have won this award . It is important to us that we acknowledge the role everyone has played in our story to date .We thank all the syndicate members , trainers ,stable staff ,vets and jockeys who have worked with the syndicates horses through the years. We are grateful for all of your contributions. Thank you all .

We’re off to Galway today as Seddon (Harry) looks to keep his unbeaten record going over the sticks for us, a nice run in Killarney to open his lungs should have him spot on best of luck to connections and John C McConnell Racing Amy Crook who looks after him on a daily basis 🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

It's the morning after the Punchestown Festival. It really happened for us all Seddon won at the Punchestown Festival following up his wins at Cheltenham in October, The Leopardstown Christmas Festival and of course The Cheltenham Festival.

It was such a brilliant performance from Seddon, he showed all his attributes as a racehorse and a personality. Seddon did the hard way from the front all the handicap plots, good things had a shot at Seddon yesterday at some point. One by One he pushed them away, jumping like a buck showing class, determination, speed and a will to win that just makes us all burst with pride.

Seddon had an unbelievable partner in his effort at Punchestown in Ben Harvey who not only is an exceptional jockey, but an even more exceptional young man. Ben anticipated there was little potential pace on, he took the race by the scruff of the neck. Ben believed in Seddon totally he knew he would answer Bens's every call. In life, some partnerships just work. Ben Harvey and Seddon is one such example. Ben Harvey will go on to do brilliant things in horse racing with average luck with injuries. It is our good fortune to have encountered Ben while his star is rising. We will watch with pride as Ben's career develops. Ben has all the attributes to cope with what is coming in his career. Thank you Ben for everything.

John McConnell has led Seddon's campaign magnificently. A trainer with a huge talent to train all types of horses. John's other great gift is to really care about his horses and his owners. John is just as good to deal with in good times and bad times. John McConnell is always thinking about horses and racing, he is always looking for that percentage that might make a difference. We are so proud that Seddon has helped push John McConnell into people's minds and attention. It's not just Seddon John has been training lots of winners week in and week out. We thank John McConnell for his massive contribution and the fun shared.

Amy Crook the woman who knows Seddon best. Amy calls Seddon Harry all the time. The bond between Harry and Amy is a beautiful thing for those lucky enough to witness. Amy walks the line between terrified and elated every time Seddon runs. The two have formed a very special bond to see it in action is to see genuine caring and respect between animals and humans. Thank you, Amy.

To the broader team at Rockview Stables. You are a brilliant group of people who make a very hard job look not hard. They all play a role in Seddon's life. I can still remember Siobhan Rutledge saying after riding Seddon shortly after he arrived " This Seddon is a nice horse". Thank you all we appreciate everything you all do.

To all the owners, Racing is a tough game where there are plenty of times you say " What are we at here". The Galaxy owners always put the horse at the centre. We do the best we can for our horses at all times. Whatever success we get is down to us all trying to support the horse with whatever resources we can. In this approach everyone involved plays their part. We haver plenty of down days, we know the territory we've been around. We would like to acknowledge the role of everyone who has played a part in our journey. It is never forgotten and we thank you all.

To everyone who sent good wishes, or in Punchestown yesterday who gave hugs, high fives and those who cheered from the stand as Seddon jump the last we thank you all.

At least its a bank holiday so we can all enjoy it for a few days before we get back to normal (whatever that is)

We head for Punchestown Festival 530 today with Seddon who has already had an incredible season. Seddon has already achieved so much this season winning at Cheltenham in October, Leopardstown’s Christmas Festival and of course the greatest show on turf The Cheltenham Festival. Seddon has been brilliantly campaigned by John McConnell and the team. We would like to especially thank all the stable staff at Rockview Stables who care for Seddon every day.

We would also like to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of Amy Crook and Ben Harvey. They both bring the best out of Seddon filling our horse with confidence. We are incredibly proud of Seddon; we are also very grateful to all the racing fans out there who have taken Seddon to their hearts. Once we get Seddon and Ben home safe, we will take whatever we get after that. Come on Seddon!!
