Exciting news for the Treo Eile Christmas Show - we are going to be live streamed on Horse & Country TV !

The livestream will commence at 5pm with our demo with Olympian Sam Watson, followed by the Moyglare Stud Parade of Champions before the main event - the HRI Treo Eile Thoroughbred Classic.

So if you can't make it on the night make sure you tune in and enjoy the fun!

🏆Kingdom Warrior Perpetual Shield🏆

This time tomorrow we will be kicking off our first thoroughbred class at the Treo Eile Christmas Show 2024. The winner of this class will receive the Kingdom Warrior Perpetual Shield which has been kindly donated by Sarah Lang.

Kingdom Warrior was rescued as a nine-year-old by Mary Carter, Lang’s good friend, from a field in Cork. He was initially trained for point-to-points before his potential in showjumping emerged. Under the dedicated guidance of his owner, Warrior quickly rose through the ranks, achieving Grade A status and amassing over 200 points within 18 months. Known for his unorthodox style—crossing his back legs mid-jump and a powerful kickback—Warrior was a natural in the 1m30, even competing on the Spring Tour and National Grand Prix circuits.

Warrior’s career came to a close at 19 after an uncharacteristic fall in the practice ring, signalling it was time for retirement. He enjoyed seven golden years of grass-filled days and “spirited” full moons, where his personality and independence continued to shine.

Lang describes Warrior as a “horse of a lifetime,” and this trophy honours not just his athletic achievements but the remarkable bond he shared with her.

We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of Kingdom Warrior through this trophy!

Our final team lining up for the Horse Racing Ireland Pepetual Trophy at the Treo Eile Christmas Show is the TRM Equine Nutrition team led by Colin Keane.

There's talk of Colin trying to qualify for the Dublin Horse Show but we think a win here would be just as prestigious! He is joing by International Event Rider Lucca Stubington , producer Sarah Lang and pony rider Nia Webbon.

They will be trying their best to win the trophy in Emerald Equestrian on Thursday 12th December.

Our next team lining up for the Horse Racing Ireland Pepetual Trophy at the Treo Eile Christmas Show is the TRI Equestrian team led by Oisín Murphy

Oisin is making the trip home for the show and will be joined by International Show Jumper Sean Monaghan, teacher and thoroughbred retrainer Emma Mac Suibhne and pony rider Hannah Horan.

They will be trying their best to win the trophy in Emerald Equestrian on Thursday 12th December.
