LEO just melts my heart. l don't know if his head trauma caused his deafness or if he was born that way but he's the most innocent wee kitty, l know that probably sounds like an odd description but hes totally devoid of anything but love and sweetness. It fills me with such joy when he comes up on my lap and paws at his special bowl (which l keep near by purely for him), this is his way of letting me know he wants a snack. Leo likes his food to be a smooth consistency as he seems to struggle a bit with chunky stuff. When he first came to us he never went to the food bowls, it was almost as if he didn't know that he was hungry until l picked him up and fed him on my lap. I believe that having other kitties helped him a great deal as eventually he gained knowledge from them and was soon grazing at the dry food bowls yet he still likes to come on my lap to use his own bowl for his wet food.

THROW BACK THURSDAY. Three years ago EWAN joined our fur family. he was rescued in Sardinia by two cat Angels : Patrizia and Emanuela. This brave little kitty had lost part of both his back legs and thanks to a wonderful Sardinian vet, he had survived various surgeries. We were familar with transporting kitties from Greece but it wasn't quite as straight forward getting Ewan from Sardinia to Donegal, but with the help of Animal Couriers we managed to product all the neccessery paperwork and Patrizia and Emanuela traveled with Ewan from the isle of Sardinia to a pick up point on the mainland to meet up with Animal Couriers. It was a lengthy process, but thanks to a great team effort we got Ewan home. Ewan has adapted to having partial back legs by using his upper body to walk on his front legs and keeping his back legs elevated.

Featuring another one of our beauties. This is TRUFFLES, we adopted her July last year when she was 4 months old from NWSPCA, Ballina. Truffles had undergone major surgery, she had a hip joint removed and replaced by a metal rod for support. Truffles is a super sweet kitty and loves nothing more than lots of fussing ❤️

BONITA aka BONNIE was handed into us three years ago, she was only a kitten and had turned up in someone's garden. Bonnie was way too young to be outside and was in danger as the home was very near a busy road so the homeowner asked if we would would take her. We were then contacted by the homeowner a couple of days later, there were another two kittens, one of which was killed on the road and the survivor (Mango) we took but sadly he too died within a few months. Bonnie thankfully thrived and grew into this beautiful girl.
