This little lady jumped into the front seat of a car over the Christmas period, on the Old Armagh Rd 1-2 miles past the Hillgrove. She seems to be a young female and is extremely friendly. Somebody must be missing her. If you recognise this cat please contact us on 087 7633361

We kindly asked that all boarders be dropped off or collected by 4:30pm on that day ☺️

A part time veterinary nurse position has become available within our practice. This may suit an RVN or a student nurse. Weekend hours and providing cover for holidays from time to time. Full training will be given.

🐭❤️ MENDING MILA ❤️🐭

Everybody please meet one of our smallest clients Mila the Guinea Pig.

In October Mila was practising gymnastics on a bed when she had an accident and fell off. She hurt her leg and was brought in to be examined. Our vets carried out some xrays and found that Mila had fractured her femur, which is the large bone in the top of her leg.

Because the fracture was so bad and the bones weren't aligned properly it was decided that Mila would need surgery if we were to save her leg. Mila's owners made the brave decision to give her a chance and she was booked in for surgery the next day.

Performing an operation on such a small animal (weighing only 300g) would be no easy feat. But with careful planning our vet Shane was able to realign the bone and place a tiny intra medullary pin through the bone to hold it in place. Our nursing team monitored Mila carefully while she was under anaesthesia and she came through surgery successfully.

A number of weeks later Mila's owner reports that she has fully bounced back to health - but has left all dreams of a gymnastics career behind her 🐭🤸‍♀️❤️

Oscar saved a life last week by donating blood to a patient who was in a life
threatening position. I think we can all agree that he is a hero 🐶🩸🎉

list and looking for new donors. If your dog
meets the following requirements and you would like them to become a blood donor

🩸Canine blood donation requirements:

🐶 1-8 years old
🐶 >25kg body weight
🐶 Up to date with vaccines and worm/flea treatments
🐶 In good health and not on any medication
🐶 Never had a litter of puppies
🐶 Hasn't travelled outside of Ireland/UK
🐶 Has never received a blood donation

Willow, the Lop-Eared Rabbit was spayed by vet Shane today 🐰 isn’t she just adorable 🤎🤍

Fun fact: did you know female rabbits have two cervices!? Yup! Each uterine horn has its own cervix 🤯 this means that rabbits can hold two pregnancies at different gestational stages to different bucks!
