Just a friendly reminder to be checking your pups for ticks. They're out in force so it's best to be checking regularly, especially with our adventure loving friends frolicking in damp woods and tall grassy areas! I have found one on Rufus and have also found them hiding on friend's dogs. They're easy to spot if you know what you're looking for.

🌼 They feel like a lump or scab, vary in size and can be larger if they have been feeding on your dog for some time.
🌼 They are often found around the ears, neck and around the tail/groin areas. Though it's best to check all over.
🌼 Luckily, they can usually be easily removed by aggravating them! Using a tweezers can remove the body but leave the ends of the tick on your dog so AVOID this method.

🌼 To remove the whole tick, get a clean towel/cloth and rub the ticks body. Rub in circular motions and eventually the tick will get aggravated enough to unlatch from your dog.
🌼 Dispose of the tick and treat your dog with a flea/tick/wormer trio tablet from your vet.
🌼It is also recommended to wash bedding and other areas your dog lazes to kill potential eggs that were laid.

Hello 👋

I thought I should introduce myself on here ! I'm Sydney - a dog lover and outdoor enthusiast. When I adopted the love of my life and named him Rufus, my world changed. I was living in Canada and working in the restaurant industry as I had been since I was 17. I decided I needed to make a change in order to spend more time with my dog. I quit my job and took Rufus and I on an adventure of a lifetime.

We traveled across Canada, hiking, camping, swimming in lakes and having a blast together. This time together was more important to me than anything! Fast forward to the end of that summer and I decided to move back to Ireland. Rufus and I came back to the motherland and I decided to start dog walking. Taking a load off other people's hectic lives and making sure their dog got lots of love, attention and exercise when they were working, sick or busy with children.

I fell in love with every. single. dog.

This is what I needed to be doing. Now I get to have all kinds of dogs in my little pack, and boy do we have an awesome time together ! Rufus has so many new friends and so many people are able to enjoy their day, stress-free knowing their dog is in the hands of a fun, reliable dog walker that they love so much!
