✨ Welcome Lola & Hugo – our adorable cuddle pugs! 🥰✨

Two perfect little baked spuds have rolled their way into our rescue and honestly… our hearts haven’t recovered since ❤️❤️

At 11 and 13, this bonded pair have spent their whole lives side-by-side and they’re now looking for a gentle retirement home where they can snooze, snuggle and soak up all the cosy comforts they deserve 🛋️🏡

They’ve settled beautifully into foster life, have met dogs and cats, and are happy to share their home (as long as any dogs aren’t too OTT for their wee pensioner vibes)🥰

Lola and Hugo may be golden oldies, but they have so much love left to give — the soft eyes, the snuffly cuddles, the tiny wagging tails… they’re impossible not to fall for😍🐶

We hope this darling duo steals your hearts just as quickly as they’ve stolen ours 🥹💚🩵🐾

✨ Saturday night shout-out to our girls ✨

While the world slows down for the weekend, our amazing rescue ladies are still waiting patiently for their chance at a fresh start — and we think they deserve a little spotlight tonight 💛

🐾 Evee – currently in the pound and really needing an adult-only foster to help her settle and feel safe. She’s a lovely girl who just needs someone willing to give her a chance 🙏🏻

🐾 Cinnamon – our sweet, timid collie pup who would absolutely blossom in a calm foster or forever home. Kennels aren’t where she belongs, and we’d love to see her tucked up on someone’s sofa soon 🛋️

🐾 Lyla – fun loving and full of heart, just waiting for her that door to open and let her stay forever. She’s currently recovering from her cherry eye repair and is doing great 😍

🐾 Lonnie – gentle, affectionate and adored by everyone who meets her. This girl has so much love to give we adore her 🩷

🐾 Ellie – a soft, sweet soul quietly hoping her person is on the way. She is the kindest girl and whoever adopts her will be so lucky 🥰

Tonight, we’re thinking of these girls and wishing they were curled up in forever homes of their own.

🩷🌸 Special Foster Appeal for Evee 🌸🩷

Meet Evee, a beautiful 3-year-old French Bulldog who’s looking for a very special foster home — one that’s calm, patient and adult-only.

We’d love the chance to get to know Evee better outside of kennels, where she can relax and show us her true personality. She may be able to live with another calm, friendly dog after careful introductions, but a home without children is essential.

Evee did show some behavioural issues around kids in her previous home, though we haven’t seen any of this in kennels — she’s been gentle, affectionate and eager for human connection.

We’re looking for an experienced, understanding foster who can help her settle and support her journey. With time and love, Evee will truly shine. 💕

Our beautiful big girl has found herself the most amazing foster mum — someone who saw past her size and straight into her gentle heart 🥹💕

We’re endlessly grateful to our fosters who open their homes to the ones that so often get overlooked. The big dogs with even bigger hearts, who just need someone to believe in them and give them a chance 🥰🙏🏻

Lyla’s foster mum has nothing but good things to say about her and we couldn’t be happier! This is what the Underdogs is all about 🐶💚🩵 helping those to get a chance that without us would have nowhere to go 💔

Lyla finally has that chance — a warm bed, a kind hand and the start of her next chapter, tomorrow she will be going for her spay and to get her cherry eye repaired and now gets to recover in the comforts of a home🏡❤️

UPDATE 💔 and it is not what we hoped for 💔 The leadership of this country really do need to finally discuss the ban of hunting in NI and actually introduce appropriate punishment for anyone involved in animal cruelty. 💔

We are utterly flabbergasted, and frankly just angry, that the PPS have made a decision not to prosecute the owners of the dogs who mauled Coco to death in her own garden.

The governing bodies in this country have failed not only Coco and her family, but the overwhelming majority of the community who vehemently oppose cruelty against animals.

Promises of pushing through a ban are nothing but hollow and wasted notions, discussed year after year on loop, yet (like much else in NI) culminates in nothing.

Disillusioned, heart broken 💔 and sick to the stomach knowing that our pets are not even safe on their own property, yet the loop hole for hunting dogs blatantly allows these scum to get away with little to no repercussion.

We will not stop advocating for a ban, and may release the publicly sourced images used by the PSNI to help illustrate the barbarity of what happened Coco, and the many, many, many, other acts of suffering legally sanctioned by the useless, spineless leadership of this crumbling country.
