IEVA are delighted to share that we have launched the IEVA Future proof campaign to support veterinary students in pursuing a career in equine veterinary practice.
The Irish Equine Veterinary Conference 2023 will take place at the Slieve Russell Hotel, Co Cavan, on November 24th and 25th. The Friday 24th Program includes a full day of “Essentials in Equine Practice” vet lectures which will be perfect for anyone at the start of an equine career.
On Friday evening there will a “Happy hour” in the exhibition hall, a black tie/formal dinner and dancing. The Saturday 25th program includes an afternoon of student directed lectures with topics focusing on career options and first steps in equine practice.
The student rate for a Friday ticket is €50 and Saturday tickets are free to anyone with a current veterinary medicine student card but must be prebooked.
This week we have engaged with stakeholders in the equine veterinary profession and the wider equine industry calling for partnership with students to attend IEVA23. This initiative has been well received and continues to attract interest.
What does it mean for students?
The IEVA FutureProof campaign will provide IEVA23 weekend tickets, with dinner and hotel on Friday 24th November for a limited number of students. If you would like to be considered for this amazing opportunity to attend, learn and network with potential employers please email [email protected] with the subject line “FutureProof Student”. We will reply to all applicants between 29th October and 3rd November.
