This worried little girl is Sophie. Sophie was rescued by our Inspector who also took care of Sophie until we had space for her ❤️

She has already made great progress with him but will need a kind, patient, understanding home to help her blossom into the wonderful little lady hiding under this frightened face. We have seen her play and have fun when she thinks no one is watching, hopefully she’ll soon be brave enough to play again even when there is ❤️

These two lovely cats, Charlie and Leah, are looking for a new home after their owner sadly passed away It would be lovely if they could stay together but if need be, they can be rehomed separately. They are currently being fed and looked after as well as possible but it is not an ideal situation. If you can help, please send us a message. Homecheck will apply. This is what their current carer says about them:

This is Charlie,he is a Tabby cat of 8 years, he is a lovely boy very friendly and affectionate, would make a lovely pet!Hes neutered also. He's loves a rub and a tickle under the chin!🙂

This is Leah a 6 year old, blue bushy haired cat. Leah is also a lovely cat but she is shy and also nervous, she will need sometime to get used to her new owner but she does love to be rubbed and shown affection. She would best suit someone who has time maybe a retired/older person or someone who has alot of patience.

Albert ❤️

This lovely older gentleman is on the lookout for his perfect forever home. He is a sweet cuddle bug who loves to sit on your lap and will reach up and bow his head down to let you know he wants kisses. He’s also a fan of being hoisted onto your shoulder so he can be given more kisses! He’s just adorable.

Albert is a more senior cat of 8+ probably. He is in great health, his bloods have all been checked and are perfect. He’s had dental work done and apart from knocking out one tooth recently, they’re all good too. He is of course, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

He is good with dogs and although he’s also good with other cats, we feel he’d prefer to be the centre of feline attention if at all possible.
He needs to be allowed to sleep indoors if he wants to. Safe outdoor access would be nice but he would be fine as an indoor only cat either.

If you feel Albert is everything you’ve been looking for, please let us know! Link to the form is in the comments ❤️

Albert update - 🦷

So, the missing canine tooth was actually a broken one and the root was still in Albert’s gum. Poor Albert! Imagine going to the trouble of getting your teeth all fancied up and cleaned, only to knock one out 🙀 The pain and discomfort of the bit of tooth still in there too, no wonder he was a little out of sorts.

He had surgery to remove the root and is a little spaced out in the pic but doing great and eating away no problem.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped with our fundraising efforts through the Glosna House Megadraw for the cats here and for making donations to help their Veterinary care. Albert really appreciates it and we do too ❤️ Every single cent raised through the raffle goes to the Veterinary care of rescue cats and kittens.

Link in comments if you fancy your chances, the prizes are fabulous and just in time for Christmas 🤶 Thank you so much again for all your support. We really are incredibly grateful for it 🙏🏼

Guess who’s back…
It’s Albert ❤️

His first rehoming attempt didn’t work out when the resident young cat (adopted from here!) would have absolutely none of it and went from being terrified of him (for no reason) to terrorising him (just for fun 🙀)
Second rehoming attempt didn’t work out when poor Albert just didn’t settle despite everyone’s best efforts.

Both rehoming attempts were with incredibly good and kind people who tried their best but knew ultimately that it wasn’t in Albert’s best interests for him to stay there and did right by him. These things do just sometimes happen.

So this gentle old man is back with us. We noticed that one of his large canine teeth has fallen out leaving a big hole so he’s on some pain relief and will go back in for a check with lovely Vet Anne in Portarlington Veterinary Centre.
Maybe that dodgy trip to Turkey to try get his delph fixed on the cheap left him with some damage 🙀😂

We love this guy anyway and don’t mind having him with us until hopefully, it’s third time lucky for Albert ❤️

It’s and Ernest is feeling the fact that black cats are the least likely to be adopted and the most likely to spend the longest at a shelter.

Not a single enquiry about him and although he’s nervous, he’s a good boy and if he was white and fluffy, he’d have a much better chance of someone willing to put in a bit of time and patience with him.

Oh, Ernest, hopefully someone out there thinks you’re important enough. We sure do ❤️
Post pics of your black cats in the comments to give Ernest some hope! 🙏🏼

Ernest is ready to find his forever home. This sweet sweet boy is gentle but still quite frightened by new things. He will come around just like he has here if he is given a little bit of time, patience and love. He is so good with other cats and seems fine with my dogs too so he’d be happy in a home with other animals that could help him learn that people aren’t going to hurt him anymore.

Link in comments to our website where you can find the ‘Adopt a Cat’ form if you can offer Ernest the home he deserves ❤️🐈‍⬛

Look away now if you’re easily frightened! 🙀

These terrifying pair are Bunny and Honey, adopted from here two years ago as adult sisters. When they’re not being the ultimate gruesome twosome, they like to spend their time being spoilt and cuddling up together on their favourite chair. Seems even batcats need their downtime.
