Sid had a special visitor today when Pam, who is incredibly busy with her design business, took time out to come and give Sid some reiki healing ❤️🩹
He loved it and absolutely soaked up all that good energy, he really wants to feel better and we really want that for him too. He is improving at a slow but steady pace and we’ll keep doing all we can to make that happen. He’s fast asleep now after it all 😻 photo in the comments.

It’s the Ernest update beyond anything we could have dreamed of!
One week in and Ernest has settled in incredibly quickly thanks to his wonderful new Mammy, Caroline and his new bff, Finn.
No sign of the frightened little guy he used to be, he’s so content and himself and Finn are already inseparable 🥰

Update on little scared Sophie (with a special guest appearance from Albert ❤️)
Poor little Sophie was visibly shaking with fear so I gave her a cardboard box to feel safer in her crate. She barely moved from it, enjoying the calmer feeling it brought her. The next morning I decided to move her in her box, to share a suite with gentleman Albert. What happened next was amazing…..
Albert sat beside her in her cardboard box and just chilled next to her. An hour later, I checked on things and was overjoyed to see that Sophie had got out of her box and cuddled up beside Albert instead. He is such a soft, gentle soul. He let her know she was safe with him and helping her to not feel as frightened.
Sophie is ready to find her forever home. It will need to be a calm and patient home to help this pretty little girl settle in. Another cat or two in the home would definitely help her.
Albert too is still on the lookout for his perfect forever home. He really deserves the best, he just the best old gentleman ❤️

This worried little girl is Sophie. Sophie was rescued by our @ispca_official Inspector who also took care of Sophie until we had space for her ❤️
She has already made great progress with him but will need a kind, patient, understanding home to help her blossom into the wonderful little lady hiding under this frightened face. We have seen her play and have fun when she thinks no one is watching, hopefully she’ll soon be brave enough to play again even when there is ❤️

We have the most wonderful news to share - Ernest was adopted ❤️❤️❤️ Caroline came to meet him on Friday and was so gentle and kind with him that he quickly decided he wanted to be friends. Caroline has experience with scaredy-cats and will give this gentle boy all the time he needs to adjust to his new home. environment. It’s so lovely to meet people who are willing to adopt the less easily adoptable cats and give them what they need to blossom into the wonderful, loyal pets they make. Ernest is ready to find his forever home. This sweet sweet boy is gentle but still quite frightened by new things. He will come around just like he has here if he is given a little bit of time, patience and love. He is so good with other cats and seems fine with my dogs too so he’d be happy in a home with other animals that could help him learn that people aren’t going to hurt him anymore.

Poor little Margo has had a very tough couple of weeks with life-saving surgeries necessary when a hernia left part of her omentum (a fold of the peritoneum connecting the stomach with other abdominal organs) hanging outside her body.
She was rushed to the emergency Vet late at night and was in theatre almost immediately. Sleepless hours followed while we waited for the call. She survived and was bright and alert, better than the Vet expected.
Three days later, another surgery followed, this one smaller but still necessary because of the huge risks that still hung over her. That was almost two weeks ago. Daily antibiotics and pain relief, checking her surgical wounds and making sure her form is good. Finally, we can breathe again, she’s going to be fine and has the most wonderful forever home waiting ❤️
There was never any question about whether Margo would get the surgery she needed but it has been a very expensive month and our funds are very depleted.
