Crufts dates for the diary

Crufts 2024 will take place from 7 – 10 March at the NEC, Birmingham. Groups are scheduled as follows:

7 March – Utility and Toy
8 March – Gundog
9 March – Working and Pastoral
10 March – Terrier and Hound

Online entries will open on 13 November, but in the meantime The Kennel Club would like to announce that the following competitions will take place at Crufts on these dates:

❄️ Après avoir bravé les fortes chaleurs qui ont dominé la région ces derniers jours, le col du Grand-Saint-Bernard s'est paré d'un magnifique manteau blanc. 🐶 Tosca, Baltic, Hope et Finesse sont plus excitées que jamais. Elles ont rapidement abandonné leurs coins d'ombre pour se lancer avec joie dans cette neige fraîche.
❄️ Nach der grossen Hitze, die in den letzten Tagen die Region beherrschte, hat sich der Grosse Sankt Bernhard-Pass mit einem wunderschönen weissen Mantel geschmückt. 🐶 Tosca, Baltic, Hope und Finesse gaben schnell ihre schattigen Plätzchen auf und stürzten sich voller Freude in den frischen Schnee.

Following the huge success of their 2022 awards, The Irish Kennel Club are delighted to announce the launch of The Golden Paw Hero Dog Awards 2023 kindly sponsored by Agria Petinsure and supported by GAIN Pet Nutrition who will be providing hampers for each category winner and a years supply of dog food to the overall winner!

The awards aim to find, recognise and reward Ireland’s most courageous, brave and life changing canines, with several categories to choose from including life-changing dogs, rescue dogs and companion dogs to name a few. An exciting panel of judges, yet to be announced, will shortlist winners in each category with overall prizes awarded at a glittering ceremony on the 18th of November in the Clayton Dublin Airport Hotel attended by the finalists and their humans.

Last year’s awards garnered national attention, with the finalist’s appearing on The Late Late Show and Virgin Media News amongst other coverage.

Need a fantastic, non-judgemental vet in the South East of Ireland? I recommend Joe Kavanagh, Moyne Veterinary Hospital, Enniscorthy. Stand up guy, nothing but good reports from all that use him. Has no problem with folk feeding raw and takes a very holistic approach himself as a whole. Hearing nothing but consistently good things about him. Fair play Joe.
