โ“Have you ever seen a rabbit with Head tilt? Unfortunately, it comes out of nowhere - your bunny is fine and then a couple of hours later, you come back and their head is tilted to one side, they may be off balance and they can't straighten their heads. Most owners are shocked and unprepared if this happens and don't know what to do.

๐Ÿ˜ขThere can be a number of causes, and whether your bunny can recover or not, depends on what the cause is and how quickly you get them on the correct treatment.

๐Ÿ“šThis is something as rabbit guardians we should know about in detail, so that we can act quickly and advocate for our bunnies, especially if we don't have access to a rabbit savvy vet at all times, or at all.

๐ŸฅผJoin me as I talk to DR LINDSEY COX a rabbit savvy vet, based here in Ireland, about rabbit neurological issues including head tilt and EC, and learn more about this perplexing condition,

EC is a mysterious disease which affects rabbits randomly. The most common symptom and the most obvious one is your rabbit's head suddenly is 'crooked' (sometimes people think their rabbit has broken its neck). This usually comes on with no warning, your rabbit appears fine and then isn't.

There are other causes of a 'head tilt' and there are also other, less obvious and seemingly unconnected symptoms of EC as well, which are often overlooked, especially if your vet isn't very 'rabbit savvy'.

As rabbit guardians, we really need to learn all we can about their illnesses, since they go downhill so quickly, but it is so hard to find the correct information you need online isn't it? Lots of it is conflicting, and lots incomplete.

I have an amazing opportunity for you to learn all about EC, Head Tilt and other neurological issues ๐ƒ๐ˆ๐‘๐„๐‚๐“ ๐…

Skittish rabbit, but would LOVE to be able to cuddle them?!

Definitely there are rabbits that do NOT like a cuddle, but in my experience caring for hundreds of rabbits each year at The Rabbit Rooms Small Animal Boarding, a lot of them actually DO once they feel secure, and even crave it - after all, cuddling and grooming is what they do with other rabbits they are bonded with!

And even if yours is one that doesn't like cuddles, they DO need to get used to being handled in order to be less stressed when it has to be done like for nails, vet check and to be put into a carrier - it is not necessary for your bunny to be as stressed as they are when these things have to be done - or you! For example, nail clips can be quick and easy when your rabbit is used to being picked up and doesn't have to be a battle!

Join my FREE PICK UP AND BOND WITH YOUR RABBIT 2 DAY CHALLENGE and let me show you my Easy 3 Step Process so that you can develop an even closer bond with your bunny and develop more trust between you - it will change your relationship with your rabbit forever!

๐Ÿ“ขMYTH BUSTER - Ever heard that you shouldn't EVER pick your rabbit up as they are prey animals?

๐Ÿ›‘BUT ..There are HEAPS of reasons why it's a good idea to get your rabbit used to being picked up - health checks, less stress on them when they do have to be picked up for grooming, nails or vet care, preventing panic when you need to get them into a carrier, and many more!

Find out WHY you should and HOW you can ease your fur baby into it and develop a closer bond with them at the same time in my FREE 2 DAY PICK AND BOND WITH YOUR RABBIT CHALLENGE - It will change your relationship with your rabbit forever!

๐Ÿ™„ Get a rabbit they said, it'll sit on your knee they said, it'll be easier than a dog they said ๐Ÿ™„But it hasn't turned out that way for you?!

๐Ÿ‘Good news though - rabbits can be tamed, and can learn to be comfortable being picked up... and in actual fact a lot of rabbits DO enjoy a cuddle once they feel secure and are picked up by someone acting confidently! And even if they don't enjoy a cuddle once they are more tame, you still need to be able to pick them up and not get scratched, bitten or kicked if you need to do their nails or get them into the carrier (or stress you and them out chasing around trying to get hold of them!)

Check out my FREE 2 DAY CHALLENGE, and let me help you easily pick them up without the fight or the stress and yes, maybe even enjoy a cuddle with your bunny for the first time!
