The Association of Irish Riding Establishments is an organisation responsible for approving those centers which operate safely. All centres need to be AIRE approved to obtain insurance cover for their students and customers.

Beware.

Not all centres have approval.

This summer, we offer three different types of pony camps, each running over three days. New students welcome.

A FOREST TREK & BEACH RIDE CAMP
All riders must be competitent and confident in canter.
Monday 8th July to Wednesday 10th July
10am to 2pm.

A SHOWJUMPING CAMP
(Day at showjumping venue included. Courses height begins at 40 cms)
Monday 15th July to Wednesday 17th July
10am to 2pm

THE IMPROVER CAMP
Monday 22nd to 24th July
Based in the center, this is an all encompassing camp over 3 days offering fun and instruction to improve a riders confidence in dressage, showjumping and trekking.
Novices welcome.
10am to 2pm
Cost €170.00

East Coast Carriage Group are running a fun "Horse Carriage Driving Day" this Sunday - 19th May 2024

Runs from 11am

Main theme is "Showing in Carriage Driving Classes"
And there is also a fun area to carriage drive.

All East Coast Carriages turnouts welcome on production of carriage driving insurance.

If anyone (driver or non-driver) would like to contribute information or participate with our showing theme, please come along on the day.

Do you know of a young person who loves ponies and who dreams of starting horseriding lessons?

We at Maltfield Stud Riding School have been bringing on young riders for over 20 years, with highly experienced and qualified instructors within a friendly atmosphere.

Maltfield Stud Riding School are now taking bookings for children's lessons on Saturdays during the summer period.

We have a limited number of places available, so to ensure availability book now.

Cost €35 per child for I hour group lesson.

Aimed to improve confidence and ability in the younger rider.

Stable management and safety in the stable. Riding lessons and treks. Looking after your pony after exercise. Games.

This morning, at approx 2am, a diverse collection of excited neighs filled the early morning air, welcoming our newest arrival. In response , a tiny brave neigh answered.

A beautiful c**t foal with the most amazing colouring.
A mertle, leopard appaloosa so beautiful and so unusual.
By Grandpas Rebel out of a mare with lineage connected to an appaloosa Apache line.

The mares three previous c**t foals by Rebel Mountain have all been leopard appaloosa. Lovely confirmation , straight movers and wonderful markings. All perfectly matching. 15.2hh up.

But this foal, which should reach over 16.2hh is quite unusual. Very special.
