What a beautiful evening it was yesterday.
Myself and Cowboy just sat in the garden and enjoyed the sounds and scents of summer for an hour.
I'm guilty of being always on the go I don't make time to just take a beat and enjoy the moment with my dog.
This summer I'm going to try to do more of this, just sit with my dog.

I was fed up of 3 things, having to replace dog beds because of broken zips/ torn fabric,the headache of washing beds , sometimes the entire bed or part of and feeling bad for tossing out beds because they didnt last long enough.So I've come up with a solution and below is the video.
Cowboy is 10 yrs old and needs a comfortable and supportive bed because of his Arthritis plus he has and eye for design and asked it could also look sharp.
So I bought a pre loved loved baby mattress, refilled an old dog mattress, repurposed on old pillow and bought hard wearing fabric and came up with a design.
My incredible mother ( a seamstress for more years than she cares to remember) made up the covers and helped modify the design and here it is. Thanks Mammy, you are amazing.

Really enjoyed having these 2 sweet pups for residential training.
Aside from what I worked on in the video the main objective was sleep training and teaching them to be comfortable when left on their own.
I'm happy to report that they are sleeping soundly right through the night and owners are delighted to have uninterrupted sleep

Lots of black and white pups this week!
Special mention to Zola who overcame her worry about walking outside and was relaxed enough to play ball in her front garden which was a first for her.

It's the final countdown now and I think Cowboy should make Santa's nice list as he didn't moan too much about Christmas shower but the look on his face speaks volumes.

About one year ago this rescued beauty arrived right before Christmas. She will forever be know as The Christmas Cat and is living up to her name as she sleeps each night under the tree waiting for Santa.

A NOT so happy Valentine's day for my Cowboy.
It started with a wound to the ear out on what was an otherwise pleasant walk this morning.
I made matters worse for him ( but ultimately better)by asking for teeth descaling and 2 little lumps removed while he was under anaesthetic.
Thank you sincerely to Michelle at Ark vets( Tullow) for her incredible bedside manner and skills but also for allowing me to stay with my treasure and give him reassuring words and pets while he went under.
He's home now recovering from today's unpleasantness.

Update on Dudley 😁😁
He has found a new home and is settling in just fine. Delighted for this little fella. See Ken Mc post below in comments for details . Thank you to all who shared the post, it worked!

Dudley is a 4 month old Male Cockapoo.
He is currently in the care of Wicklow Spca Sharpeshill and looking for a 5 star home.
I met this gorgeous dog this morning.
I will donate a free 90 minute in person puppy training session to new owners if living locally ( wicklow/ Carlow/ Wexford)
Pretty please share. Let's find him a wonderful home.
