Echo

We have been asked to help find a new home for Echo. His family are reluctant to part with him as he is a much loved dog but they are being put in a difficult position with their accommation.

Echo is about 4 years old, great with cats but initially wary of men so needs a home with an understanding and patient family.

Echo is microchipped and neutered. He responds well to both verbal and visual commands as he has had good training.

Desperately Seeking Josh!

This is Josh. He is a much beloved cat missing from home. Could everyone please share his picture and check all garages, outhouses etc in the areas of Ballinlough , Cloonfower, Loughlglynn and surrounding areas.

If you are feeding him out of the goodness of your heart, thank you but he does need to get back home where he is desperately missed. His family need to have him back in their lives.

This is Sasha, she's a 14 year old indoor cat (not negotiable at her time of life)! who loves company and to sit by the fire with you.

She is sadly seeking a new home through no fault of her own, is spayed, fully house-trained and in good health. She is use to children and has a gentle nature, she's also partial to the odd treat or two.

This lady needs a home where she can be spoilt for her retirement years and will be fabulous company for sometime at home most of the time who also appreciates a slower pace of life.

Willow & Pablo are two Staffies needing new homes.

Our local pound has two 5 year old Staffies needing separate homes. Although we are unable to take them at present we want to help by sharing their details.

Please all share where possible.

First is Willow, she is spayed and has managed to lose 5kg in the last 6 months to bring her into good condition.

She is looking to be an only dog and will benefit from a home with Staffie experience to help further her training.

Rabbits needing a new home

Hoppy, the brown rabbit, is very mellow and chilled. Lily is not as friendly with people but absolutely adores Hoppy.

They both like grass, dandelion leaves, lettuce, cabbage, carrots and even melon!

They also like a rabbit food from a local pet shop. The name will be given to the new owners.

They had a small caged area outside in the garden for during the day, and were kept in a corner of a room, where they would stay at night.

Ash & Angel

Update Ash now has a home.

Still looking for Angel to find a new family.

We have been asked to help home Ash & Angel. These gentle Labradors are 2-3 years old, both are microchipped and vaccinated but not yet neutered/spayed.

They are housetrained, walk well on lead and are ok with cats.

Ideally they need a fairly active family to continue to provide the attention they need with someone home a good deal of the time.

It would be great to be able to keep them together but could be separately homed.

This little black kitten was discovered in the engine of a car by a lady returning home in Boyle from Sligo Quay on Wednesday.

Estimated to be about 3 months old this kitten certainly seems friendly. Please share in both areas so we can have this stowaway returned home.

We are looking for a new home for Felix.

Update: Felix has a new home now. We feel confident he will settle well with the resident fluffs that now keep him company.

A quiet country residence would be ideal. Felix is about 7-8 years old, he is neutered and had his initial vaccinations. He would make someone a wonderful companion and just wants a noise/child free home to relax in and a carer who can be home most of the time.

Faye & Summer are seeking a tranquil retreat together.

We have been asked to help these two Shih tzus, a mother & daughter, 14 and 11 years respectively.

Sadly their carer is now in a nursing home, so Faye and Summer are looking for a special new home where they'll continue to be cherished and can remain together. Both are in great health, and need a very gentle environment with soft handling. They would flourish in a quiet and peaceful home without any drama of bouncing dogs or children.

They are both excellant on the lead and very well socialised generally but at this stage in life, just need a comfy sofa, and a short walk and to be by your side.
Both are spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. They are well groomed, and will need grooming every 8 weeks.

We would love to help bring their mum peace of mind by finding a fabulous home for them together.

This little Ballaghaeerreen boy has left the vet today and has been safely reunited with his owner.

He will remain on medication for a while to help the swelling recede from his eye and is so lucky not to have lost it from the accident. He is also now neutered to help stop the roaming and will hopefully enjoy more time at home.

Binx & Salem are companion kitties, both about six months old who are looking for a new home together.

Binx is black & white and Salem is black with some white detailing under his arms and stomach. Binx is the more cautious of the two and can be a little anxious in new surroundings but Salem loves exploring/playing. Both rely heavily on each others company and they're the most happy and healthy together.

Imminent lease renewal has meant they need to find a new home so if anyone is interested in giving these youngsters a permanent home together please call us on 087.187.4268.

We have taken this cat into our care today. He was found near Abbeyview in Ballaghaderreen and could possibly have been hit by a car. He is under pain management but could possibly lose an eye and is also an uneutered male. Appreciating black cats are difficult to photograph if anyone is missing this guy please let us know. Meantime we are doing our very best for him.

Found Ballinagare countryside

Update: this Spaniel has now been handed to our local pound by the finders.

This young Spaniel has been seen straying over the past three days and is being fed and kept safe in the meantime.

Someone must be missing this young one so if anything is known where the dog is from please contact us with proof of identity ASAP on 087.187.4268.

Desparately sad news

Update no microchip has been found for this little dog and we now have a picture which we are posting to help find her family. Please let us know if this is your dog or you know who her family is.

We have received news of a young female poodle type dog of about 9 months who was run over this morning in Castlerea and has sadly lost her life. She has been taken to Henry vet who will be checking for a microchip.

This was witnessed by three independent people and the gards have been informed.

Our condolences to her family.

Brother & Sister hoping to be homed together.

These lovely black & white siblings are about two months old and were taken in having been abandoned. The male kitty is on the left and female on the right sitting upright.

Their current carers are due to move soon and also already have four older cats so would dearly love to find someone to care for these two.

These delightful kittens are three months old with Shadow being the only 'big' brother!

It would be wonderful to maybe home them in pairs and great to get a country home where they can rule the house yet enjoy the tranquility of the countryside.

Cindy is only 9 months old but still managed to introduce Suki & Millie into the world! Her kittens are now 5 weeks old and we are looking for homes for all of them. Lilly & Lucy are two Pugs seeking a new home. These two little ladies would love to find a home together if possible as at 4 to 5 years old they have grown up together and get on great. They are better fed separately however as one (no names mentioned) can be a piggy little Pug who believes what's yours is MINE! They get on great with other dogs and are use to children and currently reside in a very busy household. They do exhibit signs of anxiety at times believed to be from their early years and may well benefit from a less hectic environment. Anyone with experience of Pugs will understand their bursts of energy as you can see from the video. They are wormed, vaccinated and microchipped.
