Did you know… a common ingredient in human foods that is toxic for dogs is xylitol!?

The most common thing people feed to their dogs that they probably don’t realise has xylitol in it is most peanut-butters sold in supermarkets. You can purchase “dog-specific peanut butter” in petshops, but natural peanut butter that you find in health-stores or a some supermarkets nowadays is free of xylitol.
It’s the natural peanut butter with zero additives that naturally separates & needs to be stirred before use that is safe to give dogs! But the regular “panda” brands and all the ones like it are 🛑 UNSAFE 🛑, among all other foods containing xylitol!

For the same you wouldn’t feed your dog chocolate, don’t feed your dog foods with xylitol in it! It’s just not worth it.

During our check-in visits, we have the add-on option of bringing some doggy puzzles & games for your dog to play with for that extra bit of mental & physical stimulation, so you come home to an even happier dog! 💓☺️

Did you know that before you hire me to take care of your beloved pets, that I offer a free meeting where I travel out to meet you & your pets so that you have the opportunity to decide with confidence if you think I am a good match for you or not!? 🐾🐶🐱🐹🐴

I do this because I also think it’s as important for me to know that I can confidently go to work knowing I will be able to do the job well. It’s a great opportunity for you to tell me in detail what you’d need me to do, and to give your pet a chance to meet me and warm up to me so they are more comfortable if I do end up checking in on them for you 🏡

I have never had a meeting that ended in anything other than me being called back for work, but I would never take offence if I was not a match for you or your pet(s)! 😁

Meetings can vary from 30 minutes to over an hour sometimes! I try to make sure I can give you as much time as you need to ask me and tell me everything you want to. ⏰

We love ✨ALL✨ dogs here at Gregorys Pet Sitting, we don’t discriminate! 💖 I am experienced with dogs with all kinds of reactivity issues - leash reactivity, nervousness, aloofness, dog-on-dog aggression, reactivity issues from past abuse/trauma.

I have a gentle but confident approach to dogs with issues like these and so far I have never met a dog I wasn’t able to become best friends with. 💓🐶 My own dog, Saffy, (not pictured below! That’s Billie!) is reactive to other dogs and aloof with strangers so I know just how important it is to reactive dog carers that they know their furbaby is in good hands!

DISCLAIMER: I am not a dog trainer and I will not be able to train your dog! I can build on a personal relationship with your dog and approach them in a way that allows us to happily work together, but I am not qualified to train your dog, I’m just a pet-sitter.

✨ Pet check-in Service Available in Cavan! ✨

At Gregorys Pet Sitting I offer a professional check-in service where I go to your home for a 60 minute visit to take care of your pets needs while you are away at work or out on a day-trip!

I have 15+ years of experience in handling and working with animals of all different species with all different temperaments, including reactive dogs, farm animals, equines, rodents. I am Garda vetted and I also offer references from my clients if you wish.

✨ This service begins at €15 an hour and includes : ✨
- a completely FREE first meeting prior to when I begin the check-ins (so you can see if you & your pets like me!)
- any feeding your pet might need
- a 15 minute walk (if it’s a dog visit!)
- enrichment such as playing with them, taking them outside, giving them puzzles, etc
- a text update at the end of the visit including photos

I'm an enthusiastic animal lover with experience in caring for all different kinds of animals, from dogs and cats to rodents and reptiles and more. I have pets of my own as well and would treat every animal I am minding as if they were my own.

The way that I work is when I get contacted by someone who needs to have their pet minded/dog walked I like to talk to whoever needs the service over the phone or through text to discuss what exactly is expected from me (Example: If its just to walk a dog twice a day a few days a week while someone is in work, or if I need to go stay in the house with the animal(s) while someone is away, or if I need to take them here, etc.) and we will then arrange a 100% free meeting where I will meet yourself and your animal(s) to discuss further details and see if I’m the right person to care for your beloved animals!

For pet sitting any free-living animal such as a dog or a cat (as opposed to rodents or reptiles who primarily live in cages/tanks) I would do daily visits to your house or live in for the time you are away, depending on the animal and their needs and what you would like, but with animals who live in cages or tanks they can be taken back to my own house for however long you are away, and would be taken care of here unless it was preferred for me to stay with them in your own home.

I am based in Meath and for live-in pet minding I will drive up to an hour, but for activities such as dog walking or just checking in on pets I will drive up to half an hour. (I have a full, clean drivers license)
