Last week, during their 1st Puppy Life Skills class, we worked on the owner engagement/targeting game, touch. Yesterday, during follow-up, Brandy, a Springer Spaniel pup's owner, shared the success he's had after only one session with recall to touch. Here's Brandy showing off his fun recall training.

Little Penny is a little senior dog. She's a little rescue with an abundance of love. She's shown some signs of separation anxiety of late, but her amazing humans have taken all the right steps to get her back on track again. Super family to have met.

Neville is a little superstar! Look at his loose lead walking at only 4 months old. Remember, start your training young. Don't wait until unwanted behaviours kick in. You'll have double the amount of work to do, and it will take so much longer. I'm happy to report that after completing his Puppy Life Skills course, Neville will move up to Level 2 in January. Can't wait to see your progress in the new year, buddy.

Lead walking is not just about getting our dogs to walk on a loose lead. It is about owner interaction and management of situations. One strong behaviour can make a huge,positive impact during your walks. Neville is super sociable, so a good level of control is important when out and about, as some interactions are not always appropriate.
Strong behavior:
Middle = Approptiate social behaviour.
Middle = Safety zone
Amazing work by Neville and his dad during their working walk today.

15 years after being found in a box in Camolin Woods, I said goodbye to this little man yesterday. Before then, I wasn't familiar with Patterdale Terriers, but I soon learned that it is one of the amazing breeds out there. During his "career" Digit played a big part in helping numerous dogs through his role of stooge dog, for this I will always be grateful.
Most of all, he loved being outside and soaking up the sun for hours on end.
Rest easy, Digit 🩵🩵

Gorgeous little girl, Millie, enjoying her training session outside a coffee shop. Todays focus was all about learning to settle in a distracting environment, while her mam and myself enjoyed something to drink. Great work, Millie 👏
