One of my favourite jobs is to photograph Maths Week for . For me the highlight is to photograph the presentation of the Maths Week Ireland Award and this year it was awarded to Prof. Colm Mulcahy. A much deserved winner.
Rather than do just the normal presentation photo I wanted to do a more interesting photograph. This is the second time I did this photo. The first time was in my head the day before planning the shot. I knew I was only going to get about 3 minutes to do the shot before the ceremony. Colm was not only a great winner but a fantastic subject to photography.
To top it off the ran the portrait as well.
