October 27th is Dia de Los Muertos for Pets, the day when their spirits are believed to return to the house where they lived. The Mexican tradition is to make an "ofrenda", a little altar with some of their belongings, maybe a photo and some water and favourite treats to help them on their journey back to the afterlife.
