It is with great sadness we have to announce that Sheila passed away peacefully this morning.

The woman who started it all - from pitch & putt, to the open farm and tractor rides, to the riding school. She never sat still for a moment!

In the mean time - she wouldn’t want anyone to be sad! Remember a wonderful woman with some lovely memories ❤️

Due to the weather warning and high winds forecast we’re deciding early to cancel the showjumping on Sunday. We will come up with a plan for the remainder of the league and update you all as soon as we do !!

The first week of the 2024 autumn Showjumping league starts tomorrow! Approx class start times posted below. Times subject to change as entries open on the day. Warm ups will happen before class start. *In the case of larger classes there will be a second warm up*

10.30 Warm up for starter stakes & 40cm
11.00 Starter Stakes & 40cm
11.50 Warm up 50cm
12.10 50cm
13.15 60cm
14.15- 70cm, 80cm, 90cm, 1m

Entries open on the day. Nice inviting course in relaxed atmosphere! Clear round rosettes available. Points up for grabs for qualifying for the final and for the league table to win the Conal Watters memorial trophy 🏆 See you all tomorrow! 🤩

While the horses have had an easy few weeks, the humans have been busy! A surface top up for the arena, and we’re getting set for lessons to start up again.
As usual this time of year is busy getting the horses (and ourselves) back into fitness and the new term time routines. We really appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we get our regulars slotted into groups and times that suit all! (Please note we still have a large waiting list for new riders and beginners)
Looking forward to seeing you all back in the saddle soon ! 🤩 🐎

Sandra, Skye and Turnip the dog are heading off in the last leg of this part of their journey! Today they ride from Darney to Donegal Town. If you see them make sure to say hi and have a chat!! They’re all very friendly!
They will return to the Wild Atlantic Way next year to continue their trip and fundraising efforts.

Sandra is riding for the Hairy Henry Educational Trust to raise funds for 'Giddy Up and Go', an educational programme for young teens aged 12-16 who experience challenges in mainstream school. This programme aims to support these youngsters with the help of the therapy horses on the Hairy Henry Care Farm.

Hard to believe that our last week of Summer lessons is upon us! Summer is coming to an end, and it’s time for our hardworking school horses to take a well deserved break from lessons from August 25th - September 10th !

Thank you so much to everyone for all of the support and fun this summer ☀️ ☔️

When we return we will be putting together the new term time schedule of lessons ! This always takes some time and juggling as everyone gets into the new school and after school routine. But bear with us and we will get everyone fitted into times and groups that suit both you and us ☺️. We cannot guarantee that the groups from last school term will be at the same times this term so please do not assume! We will be in touch to discuss times and days for everyone in the lead up to our reopening.

Laura Kraut. One of the most experienced riders in the showjumping world. 58 years old with many top Olympic and Championship results to her name. A fabulous rider to watch with amazing connection with her horses. Team silver medalist yesterday in Paris yesterday. Wears her body protector even on the biggest of stages🌟
She’s an inspiration in so many ways!

Irish cross country time for tomorrow.

Competition starts at 9:30am Irish time.

It is all to play for tomorrow on a testing cross country course. Changing ground conditions are expected to make it a very influential day.
