So in Ophelia x Ron’s litter we have 17 babies 😱 all creams with a mix of black eyed and red eyed, long haired and short haired, Rex coat and satin coat 🤩 what a fabulous mix 😍

Yesterday I lost my old boy Dodger. He was just shy of 3.5 years old so he lived a long happy life until the end. Run free my gorgeous Dodger 😪❤️

Hey I’m just wanting to apologise for the delay in posting baby pics, we’ve had a hectic few weeks.. our newly adopted King Charles ended up being pregnant and requiring an emergency C section, so we’ve been busy looking after newborn puppies, which is so different to hamster pups 🙈 but we are smitten with them none the less 🥹❤️ anyways here’s Margo x Ringo’s litter 😍❤️

So firstly, I want to update and say that Margo delivered safely yesterday, both mum and pups are doing well from the little squeaks I can hear in the nest 🥰
Secondly I managed to catch Ophelia in heat last night, so I paired her with Ron. Looking forward to this litter 😍😍

I’ve been so busy I’ve not had time to post about the recent show we went to. Last weekend we attended the Otley show in the UK, it was a fabulous day, lovely weather, and plenty of beautiful hammies 😍 super proud of my hams, as Erin took 1st place in her class, Pippa took 1st place in her class, Ophelia took a 2nd place and reserve place in her classes, Ringo took a reserve place and Cici took a reserve place. I also brought home a beautiful girl from Arundel Hamstery, (last pic) I’ve named her Margo, and herself and Ophelia will be paired up to my boys hopefully this week ☺️❤️

Yesterday was a tough day. I lost my beautiful boy Dash. He was doing so well until I found him unable to use his back legs. I knew right then it was time to say goodbye. So I brought him in to the vet and he went to sleep peacefully. Dash was one of my favourites, he was always the first out for a cuddle the minute he heard my voice. I’ll miss him a lot. Run free my handsome boy Dash 😞🐾🌈❤️

Cici and Freddie’s babies are 2 weeks old already! I’ve just had them out for a handling session and they’re all super sweet already 🥹 so we have 11 pups.. the famous Silverwoods 11 🤣🤣 (my most common number here) I can’t wait to watch these babies grow ❤️❤️

We have babies in the nest 🤩 Cici had her babies on Tuesday night! She’s doing great 💜 obviously it’s still very early days, so I won’t have many updates and no pics until they’re 2 weeks, but fingers crossed for them all to thrive ❤️

Sadly I lost Ellie last week, she was a fantastic hamster. She would always be the first one waiting for a cuddle and a treat. She lived for food, especially dried fruit slices ❤️
She was one of the biggest personalities at the hamstery, so it’s definitely quieter without her.
I decided to plant her in a pot with some beautiful flowers that remind me of her bright personality 🌺💜

All looking good with Cici tonight, she’s looking and feeling chunkier so I’m pretty confident that she’s pregnant. But obviously we have another 8 days wait before we find out for sure! ☺️❤️

Some super exciting news! Finally got a successful pairing tonight! This pairing is between Cici and Freddie and hopefully we’ll have some super cute pups in a couple of weeks! I want to thank everyone on my waiting list for being so patient and I promise to keep the page updated on baby news 🥹❤️

So I’m delighted to share the results from the Bradford show on Saturday! All 6 of my hamsters placed, with the results being:

5th pic - Ringo, 2nd place
6 pic - Aberforth, 3rd place
You might see the 7th pic isn’t a hamster! He is actually a little Duprasi, also known as Doops or Fat Tailed Gerbils and he is the newest addition to the silverwoods family! I’ve always loved Duprasi so when the chance to own one came up I jumped at it. We have named him Darby 🥹❤️

I’m super excited! We’ve arrived in the UK for the Doncaster show tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing everyone there! Freddie decided he wanted out for a cuddle on the road trip 🤣 I’ll get back to messages asap too ❤️

So last night I tried Ron with Erin again and he had absolutely no interest so I had to change plans and go with Ringo. He definitely did better than Ron, so here’s hoping 🤞🏻❤️

Some sad news here today. My baby Hope passed away last night in my arms. She was almost 9 years of age and she was in brilliant form right up until last night. She was the sweetest little rabbit, and such a huge character 💜 rest in peace little Hope 😪💜

Poor Ron thinks that his time with Erin is more of a casual “hamster watch” where they look out casually for things around them, while Erin is getting impatient waiting for him to make a move.. to be fair he’s almost getting it and he’s done a little better each time, so I’ll give him one final try on Monday, and if not I will have to check plans and use a different male.. but let’s cross our fingers that Ron will get it 🙏🤣

So… I FINALLY caught Erin in heat! So I attempted a pairing between Ron (first picture) and Erin (second picture). However poor Ron didn’t seem to understand what to do 🤷♀️🤣 so we will try again in 4 days and hopefully he’ll figure it out next time around. I’ll keep ye all updated and thanks to everyone on my list for being so incredibly patient ☺️❤️

*Pumpkin is now 👀 for a new 🏠*
*I just got word from a lady who had one of my hams previously that she’s got a
DETOLF TANK, RAISED LID AND LARGE WHEEL FOR SALE €70* This would be perfect for Pumpkin 😄
So this little diva has recently chewed through an XL Rodipet Nagarium, and understandably her owner isn’t able to buy her a new bigger glass enclosure so she is currently back with me until I can find her a perfect new home.
She escaped a few times with me as a baby and has got a taste for freedom and is now a little Houdini.
She’s going to need either a detolf with a raised lid enclosure or something Perspex or similar. She will also need plenty of free roam time to help with her need to wander 😊
If you think you will have a suitable place for Pumpkin, please message me along with pictures of your enclosure, and we will go from there.
Her date of birth is 16/6/23 ❤️❤️

Just an update for everyone on my waiting list! I have yet to catch my girls in heat for a pairing, I think the weather changes and the new move isn’t helping! This is going to be a bit of a long post, so I hope everyone can bear with me.
I want to apologise for my radio silence over the past while, both with posts on the page and with replying to messages.
This year has been an incredibly difficult one for me, and I’ve had so many things to deal with in my personal life, that I had to let the hamstery and other things take the back seat while I sorted everything else.
This means that a lot of people have had to wait a long time for a response, plus me being all over the place with hamster reservations and collections. Everyone has been so patient and amazing by the way so thank you for that ❤️
I’m still trying to get settled in my new chapter of life, and unfortunately that meant letting the page go quiet for some time.
Now that things are starting to quieten down a bit, I’m hoping to start getting things going with the hamsters again. I am planning one or 2 pairings for my last litters of 2023, as I know there’s a good few of you waiting for a baby.
Im going to try get these pairings done in the next week if possible and will update everyone once I have.
I just want to thank all my followers and owners for being so patient and kind with me, and I promise to try get things running smoothly again asap ❤️

My apologies for not being active recently. Things are (as per my new usual 😭) very hectic. I am trying my best to manage my time a bit better but I’m really bad at it 😅 here’s a few small pics of Ci-Ci and Freddie’s babies, who are 5 weeks old today. Finally! Sarabi x Luca’s pups are 15 days old today and out for their first cuddle 🥰 they were super chill. We have 9 absolutely stunning golden pups and I’m super chuffed 💜💜 I’ll be taking out and introducing Ellie’s babies tomorrow! 💜
