On Friday I lost my baby Ducky, it was very sudden and unexpected and I’m heartbroken 💔 I adored this little creature so much ❤️ her little personality was just amazing and so funny at times. I decided to get a pretty plant pot and flowers to bury her in so that she’s always with me. Run free Ducky 😢💔❤️

Introducing Tiggy! Tiggy is a giant dead leaf praying mantis. She’s only a baby at the moment so she’s got a lot of growing to do! Shes super confident! Anyone who knows me well knows that I used to have a huge phobia of of insects, so if you told me 2 years ago I’d be owning and holding a praying mantis I’d have laughed at you! The way she stops and tilts her head to look at me is just adorable 🥰

But some insects have grown on me and I’m a big fan of these little guys. 🥰

A bit late with the results from the Sheffield show but better late than never! It was a great day and a great turnout!

I’m super proud of all my hamsters as always 🥰

In order of pics we have:

Yogi - reserve place in his class
Aero - 3rd place in his class
Dudley - reserve place in his class
Burton - 1st place in his class
Leia - 3rd place in her class
Erin - 2nd place in her class
Russell - reserve place in his class
Astrid - 1st place in 2 of her classes
Lucas - reserve place in his class

I also got 2 new additions, Penny a shorthaired golden female and Jackson a shorthaired cinnamon male, I can’t wait to see them grow up 😍😍

I also got other new additions (not hamsters) but I’ll make a separate post about them 🤭

The hamsters bags are packed and ready to go! We’re up at 4am to head to Sheffield show! 🧳 ⛴️ 😍❤️ also, I’ll post updates of lotties babies tomorrow who were out for their first handling session tonight! 🥰

Lotties babies are 13 days old, and super active! I won’t be handling them yet but they came out for their dinner last night and I had to snap a quick video! I won’t know how many there are until I start handling and get a look in the nest. But all look very happy and healthy 😍❤️

Good news!! I checked on Lottie during the night to find her having her pups! I spotted a few pink wriggly beans and saw that she was doing well so I left her alone ❤️ I won’t know how many pups we have until I can handle them at 2 weeks old so the waiting game begins now! 😂❤️ (pic of Lottie from last night prior to labour)

Today has been a long day. Today I spent the day with Dr Bobby at Vet Specialists Ireland. I brought 2 patients with me. First was my old man Abe. He became a lot less active just over a week ago, which I initially put down to him being 3 years old. However, at the start of the week he lost use in his hind leg. After a long thorough examination with Dr Bobby, he felt what seemed to be a large mass by his testicles, which would explain the loss of movement if the tumour was attached to his nerves. I didn’t want him to suffer any longer so we made the decision to let him go to sleep peacefully. I held him in my arms the entire time. Run free Aberforth 🌈🐾❤️ I will post Leia’s story tomorrow as it’s quite a long one. Thanks so much to Dr Bobby today, he was absolutely amazing with them both and I couldn’t have asked for better ❤️

Hi everyone! Just an update, the pups are now ready for reservations so I’ll be doing up their individual pics tomorrow and will begin messaging people. I will be starting at the top of my list, and as there are so many of you, I’m going to have to put a time limit on how long I will wait for a reply before moving on to the next person, so if I don’t hear back from people within 12 hours, I will move to the next person on the list, I’m trying to keep things fair for everyone ☺️

Also, unfortunately it doesn’t seem that Leia is pregnant, as she’s 12 days in and no sign of a belly, but we will wait and see.

I have been trying Lottie every night to try catch her in heat and it’s proving difficult. It could be because of the winter, but I will keep trying.

I understand this wait must be frustrating for you but as I can’t control their breeding cycles I can only work with them. I will keep trying and hopefully we’ll have more luck soon.

So 5 days ago I paired up Leia and Finn. I won’t know for another while if she’s pregnant or not but fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I’ll also be pairing Lottie up this week.
