We’re honored to be featured in a recent ynet news article about the indoor farming sector and Vertical Field’s unique contributions and achievements in this thriving industry. As mentioned in the article, indoor farming has piqued the curiosity of chefs worldwide who are in search of fresh, locally sourced, and high-quality ingredients.
We had the privilege of hosting acclaimed chef Raz Selah at our R&D headquarters earlier in the summer, who was astounded by the exceptional freshness and flavor of VF's crops, and particularly by the accessibility of such produce year-round.

We've begun planting micro-kale, snow peas, basil, kale, arugula, and so much more, which due to our data-driven protocols, receive the precise conditions to thrive to perfection.

The edible flower market is flourishing like never before as culinary enthusiasts and health-conscious consumers increasingly seek unique and visually appealing additions to their dishes. In fact, the packaged edible flower market share is expected to increase by $107.72 million from 2021 to 2026, at a CAGR of 5.75%.

After much success with our stand-alone farm series, we’re excited to announce the launch of VF’s multi-disciplinary container farm hubs. These innovative farm clusters grows a larger quantity and more diverse variety of crops, integrate more advanced technologies, such as our upgraded management and control system and enhanced data capabilities, and house in-house nurseries and R&D activities.

Approximately $370 million dollars is wasted from global food losses that occur at the farm! That’s approx 1.2 billion tons of produce or 15% of global food waste. This waste occurs for reasons such as: pests, disease, weather events, aesthetic blemishes/high retail standards, and distance to the field (expensive to send workers back to the field).
VF’s innovative indoor technology is seeking to change that with optimized conditions for plant quality, data-driven technologies that can detect pests, disease, and blight immediately and AI-integration to relieve issues and improve indoor conditions. As crops are grown efficiently and locally, farmers don’t need to travel kilometers and can harvest easily and quickly at peek ripeness.

It was a great privilege to host the Chief Rabbi of Antwerp Rav Pinhas Padwa at our workshop today. Our indoor farming facilities grow fresh produce in a pest-free environment that adheres to rigorous kashrut regulations. This means that consumers who prefer bug-free produce can now enjoy them without the use of pesticides or other harmful substances. We are proud to be able to cater to the dietary requirements of a diverse range of communities, and look forward to expanding Vertical Field’s unique solutions into new and exciting territories!

We’re very proud to present the one and only– Meggie Abecasis Vertical Field’s VP of Commercial!
Meggie began her VF journey as the CEO of Green Wall, where she grew the company exponentially and integrated a wide portfolio of fortune 500 companies.
Today she brings her expertise as Vice President of Commercial – intriguing and wooing everyone who crosses her path.

Here are some fun facts about Meggie!

1. Meggie fell in love with green walls when she met VF founder Guy Barness at an annual design conference that she organized. 🌿
2. Meggie loves exploring the culinary arts and traveling the world to experience unique flavors. 🍜
3. Meggie’s first job was in a psychiatric hospital where she told the staff that they should wear distinctive clothes because she couldn’t tell them apart from the patients.🤣🤣

Meggie’s confidence, exuberance, and passion are utterly contagious, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her bold talents, authentic love, and defiance that she brings each and every day. 💛
