The mother takes care of her little ones very attentively. She lies next to them, licks them to keep them clean, and stimulates the puppies for urination by massaging their bellies. At just two weeks old, puppies usually enjoy playfully wrestling with their little siblings. And even though they may look like cute fluffy balls during this early play, it plays a crucial role in their social development.
Early play with other dogs teaches them communication skills and self-control. After all, if he bites one of his little siblings too hard, he won't play with him anymore.
