💪🏼 Omega fatty acids ensure healthy skin and coat. These omega fatty acids are found, among other things, in linseed. The EquiFirst Linamix®️ contains plenty of linseed. Flaxseed is a natural source of omega 3 fatty acids. A ration supplemented with additional omega 3 fatty acids supports health on several fronts. For example, with regard to fertility, reduced allergic reactions and with regard to skin and coat quality. In addition to linseed, Linamix®️ also contains inulin (prebiotic) via chicory. Inulin is a prebiotic consisting of specific carbohydrates (FOS - fructo-oligosaccharides) that nourish the intestinal bacteria, thereby nourishing the growth and activity of these bacteria thus promoting and/or maintaining intestinal health.

In these cold days, it is recommended to support your horse's good moisture absorption. You can easily do this, by providing an extra meal of Fibre mash. When giving this mash, you are going to provide both extra moisture and good fibre. 🌾

The Fibre Mash is the fibre-rich mash from EquiFirst with highly absorbable fibre sources (205 grams per kg) and derived from timothy grass, dried chicory pulp (naturally rich in inulin, a prebiotic that contributes to a balanced intestinal flora), bran and alfalfa, a generous share of crude protein (120 grams per kg) and a high level of Omega 3 fatty acids (22 grams/kg derived from extruded linseed). This slobber has also been supplemented with a vitamin-mineral pellet creating a balanced mix of roughage and concentrate feed.

Arnaud Doem Official talks about Kennedy, 5-year-old gelding, and his experience with EquiFirst.

“With his daily concentrate feed, Kennedy was very susceptible to colic and stomach ulcers. Because of this, this gelding was very difficult to ride and muscle building was also minimal. Unfortunately, we lost almost 1 year because of this problem.

In August, on the advice of Benoît Onghena, we started using the EquiFirst Gastro Cube. The ration then consisted of 5 kg EquiFirst Gastro Cube per day, divided into 4 meals, supplemented with 3 kg EquiFirst Fibre All-in-one.

Since then Kennedy has been free of colic and stomach ulcers, has a much better condition and his muscle mass has improved considerably on the new EquiFirst ration!

Despite the low starch diet, Kennedy still has the necessary energy to work.

To this ration 5-6 kg of normal hay is added in 2 meals (morning and evening).

Thanks to the specific EquiFirst feed and the achieved results, we can take the horse to competitions. “ 💪🏼

💡Did you know that…

…your horse can lose up to 9 litres of fluid per hour during intensive exercise in warm weather? Not only does sweating cause the horse to lose fluids, it also loses a considerable amount of sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. A large part of the normal requirement is taken up by a ration of sufficient roughage and concentrated feed.

Recover Mash helps horses and ponies to recover quickly after intense exercise or after significant losses of fluid and electrolytes. Electrolytes consist of minerals, such as sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium. These are often called ‘salts’.

Electrolytes play a vital role in body functions, such as hydration, electrochemical balance (important in proper nerve transmission and muscle contraction), and cell resilience. In addition to providing electrolytes, Recover Mash also helps horses absorb extra moisture, energy, and vitamins.
Recover Mash must be completely moistened with, preferably, warm water.
