First time pet parents, a Suggestion:
Taking Small pets like Rabbits & Guinea pigs in pairs ( male - female pair) is not a good idea as these small pets breed very fast (approx 4 to 5 times in a year). This will lead to unnecessary breeding ( up to 20 - 25 nos ) and cause a lot of hardship in cleaning and maintaining, and also feeding them.
A single rabbit bunny is absolutely fine to keep as a pet at home ,we have many pet parents who have a single Rabbit bunny and are very happy.
If you still feel that you need a pair go for one more of the same gender.
Whereas Guineapigs are social animals and live in colonies , So a pair is suggested but keeping a pair of Guinea pigs of the same gender is advisable .
