My name is Jeny Leon Lopez, I live in Bangalore, INDIA I am a selfless soul who has been an animal activist -fighting for rights of animals whether its wild animals or zoo animals or working animals or pet animals or stray animals . Here is my plea: " I have been caring for not just stray dogs and homeless cats but the odd donkey and injured owl for over twenty-five years. I have been an activist

, fighting for animals rights for 2 decades now. As an activist too, I have put my life in danger exposing extreme cruelties and irregularities to animals. I have done many undercover operations and have fought for animal rights in the past 25 years. I have educated orphan girls and also helped many alcoholics and drug addicts combat the addiction, taught them new skills and made them financially independent . Currently, I house 70+ rescued dogs, 20 cats, some old homeless people and feed another 400 plus stray dogs and some abandoned cows and horses in and around my place in South Bangalore, India. Each animal in my care is fed daily, vaccinated, sterilized, and taken to the vet when there is a need. It's the sick, disabled or terminally ill animals that I rescue, who cannot live on their own that end up as inmates in the rented house that has': become a shelter n sanctuary. Please help me save the lives of so many and mine from a terrible state now. I now have NO OTHER SOURCE OF INCOME n have exhausted all my savings the past 9 months trying to manage everything without any disruption. I am humbly requesting that you really help me to go through this catastrophic situation. All these animals and me have no place to go in less than a month as we face eviction. 🆘 URGENT: Sonia was hit by a car and left for dead. She’s alive — but her pelvic bone has broken and she was hit ob the chest so has lung bleeding internally …Yesterday, Sonia, a gentle streetie, was found unconscious after a hit-and-run. I rushed her to Cessna Lifeline where scans revealed internal bleeding near her lungs and a fractured pelvis. Had we delayed even a little, she wouldn’t have made it.She’s now on IV drips, life saving meds & under constant observation, but her healing journey is just beginning. She can’t walk. She’s in pain. And she needs weeks of intensive care and complete rest. I’ve brought her home, adding to the 20+ rescues already under my wing.But I’m drowning. Bye Bye Goldie …🕊️ Farewell, My Darling Goldie – The Hatchiko of Doddakamanahalli 🕊️

She wasn’t just a dog.
She was a chapter of pure loyalty, silent pain, and undying love.
Goldie was once a little pup with a home – until her humans left and never looked back.
But she did.
Every day, she waited outside the same gate.
For five long years, she stood watch, the “Hatchiko of Doddakamanahalli”, hoping someone would come for her.
But they never did.

And then came Diwali. The noise. The fear. The abandonment burned brighter than the fireworks.
That was the night I brought her home.
Even then, she would run to her old gate each time the door opened —
still waiting for love she never got.
Until one day, she stopped running and finally chose me as her forever.

Goldie fought bravely these past few days —
Her kidneys had failed completely, her creatinine was 23.
Most would have given up…
But I couldn’t. I had to try — because she deserved every chance to live.

Today, at 1:30 PM, she slipped away at Cessna Lifeline Hospital.
Her last moment came after a video call with me. She responded.
My brave girl waited for my voice — and then let go.

Her body will be brought home and buried with honour — like the queen she was.
Thank you, Dr. Roja, for walking this painful journey with us till the end.

Run free now, Goldie.
You are home.
And I will never stop loving you.

My Story

My name is Jeny Joseph Leon Lopez, I live in Bengaluru. I am an animal activist, fighting for the rights of animals - wild animals, zoo animals, working animals, pet animals and stray animals. I have been caring for stray dogs and homeless cats for over 25 years. Currently, I house 70 rescued dogs, 20 cats and feed another 500 plus stray dogs, some abandoned cows and horses in South Bangalore, India. Each such animal in my care is fed daily, vaccinated, sterilized, and taken to the vet when there is a need. It’s the sick, disabled or terminally ill animals that I find routinely on my trips to feed that end up as inmates in the 2 houses that I have rented.
