For visiting times/more info, please see sections below. Funded entirely by donations from visitors and local residents, the ARC rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes dogs, cats and other animals we find on the streets. Over the years the ARC has vaccinated and sterilise

Meet our incredible residents at ARC - over 100 animals who call this place home due to accidents, neglect, and injuries. 🐾

💭 An important question to ask yourself - “Have I done something good in the world today?”

❤️‍🩹 Sometimes it feels like the world can be a selfish place, but we’re always astonished by the kindness of our supporters. We appreciate everyone that realises we are a charity with no government help and rely entirely on donations.

There are many ways to make a positive impact:

- Volunteer at local shelters or community centers.
- Donate to causes you care about, like covering food and medical bills for animals at ARC.
- Buy essential items from our Amazon wish list.
- Donate old clothes or blankets to keep animals warm during the monsoon.
- Support small businesses and sustainable brands.
- Help a neighbor with groceries or gardening.
- Spend time with the elderly or those in need of companionship.
- Check in on a friend you haven’t heard from in a while.
- Tell your family or friends how much you appreciate them.
- Hold a communication circle for people to talk and listen to each others problems.
- Be kind to everyone you meet!

The world feels a little heavy at the moment, but helping out in tough times lightens the load for those struggling and keeps up the good in the world.

😢 Shady started his life a victim of abuse whilst kept on a short chain by a cruel owner until a kind individual saved him.

🫂 Despite her kind efforts her own dogs viciously attacked Shady leaving him close to death, prompting his surrender to ARC.

💕 Shady is timid and afraid, at ARC we will try to give him the love and attention he needs to not be afraid.

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteer, Charlotte, who raised over £400 for ARC by taking part in the recent London marathon!

Her friends and family took part in a sweepstake to guess her finish time and this clever fundraising idea has greatly benefited ARC. Thank you so much to everyone who took part and well done to Charlotte for completing the marathon!🏃🏼‍♀️

🐾 Rescued Stray Kittens: Before and After Bath Time! 🐱

Meet our adorable new arrivals! These sweet kittens were found all alone, without their mom, and were in need of some serious TLC. Thanks to the efforts of our amazing staff, they've had a remarkable transformation.

🛁 **Before Bath Time:**
Our little feline friends came to us looking quite the mess, covered in dirt and grime from their outdoor adventures. But even beneath the dirt, their playful spirits shone through!

🚿 **After Bath Time:**
After some gentle grooming and a warm bath, just look at them shine! Clean and fluffy, they're ready to embark on their journey to finding forever homes. Their eyes sparkle with gratitude, and their purrs of contentment fill the room.

Good news to start the week! 🙌🏻

Little Migar was one of the bottle fed babies who came to ARC when their mama was tragically killed by a leopard.

Our wonderful Leonie, Lizzy and Sonny hand raised the pups but while 2 sisters got adopted, Migar was left waiting.

We are now delighted to say that she has also found her forever home with an amazing adopter and she has a bright future ahead of her! ❤️✨

Adoption is truly life changing, please support your local shelter and consider bringing a best friend into your home 🙏🏻

🐾 Meet our resilient Lab at the animal rescue centre, facing life with unwavering courage despite a tragic accident that left him paralysed in his hind legs. Surrendered by owners unable to meet his needs, he found himself struggling with loneliness in our centre, his energy stifled by physical limitations. 🏥 With the introduction of a wheelchair, his world expanded, and his mood brightened considerably. However, recognising the need for specialised care, we’ve arranged for his relocation to VOSD in Bangalore. There, he’ll receive the round-the-clock attention and expert support necessary for his long-term well-being, including access to a dedicated dog physiotherapist. 📝 While paperwork hurdles delay his move until after the holidays, we’re committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our furry friend. His journey serves as a reminder of the resilience found in animals and the importance of providing them with the care they deserve.

The story of Tipsy 🐾 Tipsy was brought to ARC following a car accident, by a kind human who could not bear to watch him suffer. Every day we have new puppies and kittens turning up at the shelter, with no government support. Sometimes it seems impossible to stay afloat, but we try our best with the help of your kind donations! Rescued kittens

Saved from a heart-wrenching situation! These little bundles of joy were found dumped in a sealed box just outside ARC. 😢 We discovered them at 11 am, and they were in desperate need of help – soiled and extremely dehydrated. 💔 Our amazing team acted swiftly, providing them with the love and care they deserved. We carefully pipetted water, fed them kitten formula, and gave them a much-needed bath. 🚿 Now, they’re safe, happy, and settling into their new environment. We understand that people may think dumping kittens is better than a worse fate, but this situation highlights the importance of spaying and neutering to prevent such heartbreaking incidents. 🙏 Let’s spread awareness about responsible pet ownership and support organizations like ARC in their mission to rescue and protect these innocent lives. 🐱💕
