BVRS Mango Farm This farm was bought in 1995 which was a barren land by Ramesh barrenkula. Now it has 1600 mango plan About US:
We bought the bare land1995 . But hey! Sad!
(2)

We cultivated it.Now we started plantation after making land fertile using manure and fertilizers (like cowdowng, cake, such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and micronutrients such as zinc, iron, boron and carbon are very important in soil )
We bought about 1600 mango plants @ age of 3 months. Now the trees are 18yrs old.We have large variety of mango plants . Below are the varieties:

Mango

Varities Available:

1) Dashehari
Best varieties of the country; fruit size is small-medium, shape is elongated with yellow fruit colour, flesh is fibreless; good keeping quality; mainly used for table purpose; susceptible to mango malformation. Dashehari-51- regular bearing and yielding clone of Dashehari.

2) Kesar
Fruit medium oblong with a red blush on the shoulders; good keeping quality; ideal for
pulping and juice concentrates; early season variety

3)Mulgoa
Fruit is large roundish-oblique in shape and yellow in colour; high fruit quality and good keeping
quality

4)Malika
Fruit large, oblong elliptical yellow in colour; fruit and keeping quality is good and is mostly used for
table purpose

5)Benishan
The Benishan or the Banganapalli is the most commercially grown mango in Andhra and Telangana. Around 60% of the total mango produce in both states are this cultivar. Supposed to have an unblemished skin ‘n very good taste. The best of this mango comes from the town of Banganapalli in Kurnool district. As quite evident, the name of this mango comes from the name of the town where it originated.

6)Himmayat pasand
The Himmayat is my favourite South India mango cultivar. Heavenly to taste, very sweet and zero fibre. But this’s not a popular commercial cultivar as it’s a shy bearer. Meaning that the tree bears fruit only once in two years. Hence, the production’s limited ‘n this’s an expensive mango. But every bit worth the price. It still ain’t as expensive as the Alphonso. The Himmayat’s my favourite….favourite….favourite….period.

7)The Juice Varieties
Andhra and Telangana produce some fab juice cultivars of mango. The main four being Chinnarasam, Peddarasam, Panchdhara kalasa ‘n Cherukurasam or Shakkar gutli. These four are South India’s answer to the North Indian ‘n Pakistani cultivar of Chausa. All three are very tasty ‘n the Cheruku rasam’s insanely sweet. Cheruku btw, in Telugu means sugarcane. It might be the sweetest, but for me the Panchdhara’s the most flavourful. What a mango, yaar! But the problem with all four of ‘em is that they don’t travel well. Get squashed at the slightest bump. Hence, they’re consumed pretty much locally. But what to do.
