CHAMPION OF THE MONTH JAN ' 24 🩵🧿
SIMBA , all of a sudden in Mid January had multiple episodes of vomiting, Inappetance and lethargy. He did not respond to regular anti-emetics on the first day. Concerned we immediately went for regular Kidney function tests which confirmed Acute Renal Injury with a Creatinine value of 6 ( possibly due to ingestion of some plant or toxin ). He was put on Intravenous fluids & Renal diet along with Renal care medicines.
And happy to say that our Miracle baby Simba recovered within 15 days and is back to his usual chirpy self. His creatinine levels have come down to 1. He will be on Renal diet for a while & monitored every month.

Demodectic mange, also known as red mange, is a parasitic skin infection caused by mites such as Demodex canis (most common).

✓ Demodex mites are normal inhabitants of hair follicles.
✓ Clinical signs with mite overgrowth are seen in dogs with weakened or immature immune systems.
✓ Clinical signs include hair loss, red scaly skin lesions.
✓ Demodectic mange is not contagious to other dogs or humans.
✓ It's cause is mostly genetic/ inherited. It is passed on from the mother to puppies with weakened immune system.

Popeye, proving to be the strongest💜
Popeye fell sick as soon as he landed in Guwahati with bouts of vomiting and loosies. Unfortunately ,he was positive for parvovirus followed by an acute respiratory infection.
With intensive intravenous treatment & care by his owners, after two weeks Popeye has completely recovered and is back to his goofy boxer traits.💜

Organophosphate toxicity

Simba came to us on Saturday night with symptoms of excessive drooling, nystagmus ( involuntary eye movement ) , disoriented walk and unable to balance. He showed classic signs of organophosphate toxicity and was immediately started on antidotes. With prompt action from the owners & on receiving the antidotes on time ,we are glad that Simba is on the way to recovery and has been doing very well. His appetite is back and now he can balance himself well. 🤗🙂

Note: Supervise your pets whenever they go outdoors. Make sure your pets are not exposed to pesticides sprayed in the garden. Make sure they never chew on rats or mice if caught.

Phoebe💜 One of my dearest bubs since she was 45 days old.
Phoebe had a tough time after being diagnosed with tick fever and hepatitis. She had extremely low platelets, severe gastrointestinal problems and lethargy for almost 10 days. With rigorous intravenous therapy & love n care from her dear parents, she is on the road to recovery now, eating well and being her goofy self. 💜

Benzo, guilty of chewing up a scotch Brite!!! Fortunately it passed out of his system but injured his intestines which led to continuous vomition and loosies.
After 5 days of intravenous therapy with supportive meds, Benzo is ready for adventures again!

To all pet parents, keep a close eye on what your dog/cat munches on. Always Puppy proof your house as much as possible.

Oreo💞💞

Oreo was rescued and brought to the clinic on 30th November afternoon in a comatised state. After xrays & bloods, we started Oreo on regular intravenous therapy for meningitis and spinal compression.

After 10 days of treatment, Oreo finally took his meal by himself & his first wobbly steps. 🙂

Recovery Diary of Clover!!

Clover came to Pawparrazy in a recumbent state on 7th November as an emergency in early morning hours. He was hit and dragged by a vehicle while he was out for his walk. Though externally Clover didnt have much injury, X-rays revealed he had head injury leading to concussion and edema surrounding his brain. He could not balance at all and had stiff legs.
After 10 days of intravenous treatment at Pawparrazy & with pure dedication of the owners , Clover can balance now & also hop around.
We are so happy to see Clover walk again without support.
We wish him a speedy recovery!!
