Shanya Fetal Medicine Updates Hands on.

Hello everyone 🙂

We at shanya Scans & Theranostics are organising a two day on-site Simulator based 2D ultrasound (US) training course in Gynecology and Early pregnancy on 18th - 19th November at Shanya Scans and Theranostics.

This is a comprehensive program incorporating theoretical content relevant to practical aspects of Ultrasound in the above fields.

The mainstay of this program is upto 14 hours of supervised independent hands-on practice in transabdominal and transvaginal scans, on the O.P.U.S simulator.

There will be Live demo of Gynae Scans on the patients. You may bring your patients for scan or review as well.

Dr. Supriya Seshadri, senior Consultant Fetal Medicine and Gynae ultrasounds from Bangalore, a renowned personality in gynae scans will be here for the course.

CT guided biopsy though a routine job can come as challenge sometimes.

This 1 cm nodule was present at a depth of 14 cm in an obese patient with no direct window due to overlying scapula and rib. An angulated oblique approach through post paravertebral space was decided and after millimetres of calculations from entry point upto the target, we approached and hit the lesion successfully. Thanks to our staff for their cooperation.

At Shanya Scans & Theranostics we are doing all routine and challenging difficult cases of intervention Radiology daily.

We are highly motivated to create a difference in the field of cancer diagnostics and preventive health checks.

Participated in 9th Annual young radiation oncologist conference (YROC) as Faculty.

Discussed about Role of Nuclear Medicine in the management of Prostate cancer.

I highlighted following points:

1. PSMA PET-CT Vs MRI in nodal staging of prostate cancer.

2.Role of (Lutetium PSMA therapeutic tool and PSMA PET-CT as diagnostic tool) in the treatment of harmone sensitive prostate cancers and mCRPC.

3. trial and Bullseye trial (Which is a randomised controlled trial to see efficacy of Lutetium PSMA therapy in olegometastatic harmone sensitive prostate cancers).

It is always good to interact with seniors as we learn a lot from our colleagues, seniors and juniors.
