Bailey, approx 6 month old,beautiful hazel eyed puppy was rescued from the pipes of a construction site...stuck for 3 days without food n water ...all in trauma ...finally rescued by a person n handed over to us ...she's initially a timid puppy but once she opens up is a queen....she's very playful......loves chicken rice....n simple food...very loving No health issues, vaccinated, dewormed... You get them all or you lose them all! 😄
We ran out on Woody's treats so, I tried feeding him his meal differently. Yes, I cleaned the floor before doing this. I recently watched a video of an owner doing this with her dogs, thought I could try it with my little boy too. I'm glad he puts up with me (only if he gets food or playtime in return)
Let me know what all games/tricks are you teaching your pet during quarantine, I'll be happy to hear them❤️

Here's my favourite boy Sandy doing a few basic commands outdoor!
The biggest challenge I faced with this boy was his abrupt reaction (not aggressive) to unfamiliar situations; be it kids walking around, people washing their cars or something that every dog owner has faced/faces - PIGEONS!
Getting him to obey even a "SIT" command outdoor, seemed like a task that could make you sweat but, I'm glad his family kept practicing and we finally succeeded to keep his attention on us through the training session and he obeyed all the commands. Such a good boy❤️ (PS: This video was taken before the entire lockdown scenario)

With everything that's going around, I strongly believe your only solace can be your fur kid! You are locked up inside your house, everything is expected to be done from home, make good use of this time. Play with your pets, teach them new tricks, show them you care. I'm sure, no one is thankful about your quarantine more than your pets
Dogs and cats cannot spread covid-19. So, reach out to them and spread the cheer not the virus!
Just came here to say this. Going back to play with my dog since, he has been staring at me for around 10 mins now, lol.

(LONG POST ALERT)
Choco is an adopted Indie. More like picked off the street. The house help saw Choco being attacked by the other dogs and picked him up and got him into the family. Picking a pup off the streets may NOT be the best idea. It could be a reason for some behavioural issues and Choco is a perfect example of that
Dog who hate walks? Sounds weird? Well, our Choco hates going out for walks. Everything around him baffles him, he refused to step out of the door and if we manage to get him out, he would constantly be distracted and nervous
We have been working on building his confidence by incorporating a lot of exercises and different techniques. This time around when we took him for a walk we took Sugar along with us too (Sugar - eldest and the calmest dog among the lot) and IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM! The ease with which he stepped out of the door and on the street was unbelievable (of course, we did a few sessions within the building premises before this)
As you can see, he is still distracted and keeps looking around but, we'll get that right too. With consistency, time and efforts, nothing's imPAWsible. Wish Choco and us the best of luck😄

This is definitely NOT the way you correct or punish a dog. Absolutely unnecessary. Instilling fear upon the dog to correct it's behavior, will only make it worse.

'Speak' is one of my favorite fun commands to teach a puppy. Zoey here, is a quick learner, this is her progress with the command in just a few repetitions.
Since she is already a master of almost every command, thanks to her beautiful mum , I thought I'd try my luck with teaching her another command and I don't regret it.

My Little Coco.

Choco is a little shy and timid. The first time I met him, initially, he refused to greet me and now, it's safe to say, we've gotten quite close😄
Our first session was filled with trust building exercises with this pupper. Like they say, "Confidence is key". We're all working towards helping Choco build his confidence so that he can live his life woofing away!
