In an era of reels, I had totally forgotten about the importance of images in our lives.
Found an old photo of my cousin from 9 years back almost.
It was at our native place where we were working on a territorial Doberman, I had just started working with dogs with issues as a hobby and I was learning at that time and I still am. Cause,
Learning never stops!

Now when Dog Mantra happened, it took me on a completely different journey, from being a hobby and passion to converting it into a full time work and profession. My cousin visited me this week and she was bored at home so I decided to take her to one of my sessions and , being "Khushi", clicked this picture and reminded me to see how the time passed by so much, but the energy is still the same ( Calm & Confident)

Yes, I have learnt plenty of things over the years about dogs and humans and if I make things look easy, it is only because I have put in the hard work and my efforts of almost a decade. So, if you think you can simply be able to make your dog normal by a couple of sessions, then it's not going to work. It's a lifestyle that you have to make, do it passionately and work on yourself to bring in the change. Only then you can build a relationship with your dog and also become a true knowledgeable dog lover and help your community.

For professionals too, if you have recently taken certification or shadowed some professionals for a few months, please dont act like you "know it all"!
I would recommend every dog behaviour enthusiast to work or volunteer in NGOs where you get real raw cases and lots of experiences. But right knowledge and experience matters a lot. A piece of paper can't define who you are, at least not here in the dog world! The dogs don't know that you've just finished a course, they feel your energy. Do courses, read books, watch videos, gain knowledge but also learn how to apply it, when to apply it and where to apply it.

Resource Guarding of Masti the Indie!
He has developed a lot of Resource Guarding and he has a lot of energy but I am happy that the owners are taking all the efforts and dedication to make this work. They are still work in progress and it's a long process to curb this behaviour but they will get there surely if they remain consistent and Calm Confident!

Become the Pack Leader your dog deserves!
Just some snaps from our Pack walks on the streets of Mulund.

Pack walk helps the dogs get in tune with what we want them to be that is to be calm and balanced dogs who are in a natural balanced mode. We get many dogs with various behavioural issues but one thing that commonly helps is the structured Pack walk.
Pack walks have also helped us make dogs who weren't friends before, they are now friends. Our dogs in these pics some are aggressive-dog to dog and human to dog, some are fearful dogs and some are balanced dogs. So the Balanced dogs and my Calm Confident Assertive Leadership influences the other dogs with issues to become Balanced. It is not the entire rehab but it is what helps us a lot in a Rehabilitation process.
We also take pride that there are next to none who does these here on our busy roads let alone with aggressive dogs. Growing the Pack 1 dog at a time!

Is this is Dominant Dog or a Scared Dog!?
We had super fun working with Bruno. He came with alot of issues and and got super settled here at the centre, especially his aggression towards humans and fear of heavy vehicles as you can see by the end of the full video on YouTube, he is extremely calm. He became friends with his neighbours' dog! And he shared an amazing bond with us! Dogs are really amazing beings. His energy is not compatible with his owner's family but I need to say this they are working hard to make this happen and they are getting there slowly and steadily.

•Amazing German Shepherd in Pune! CREATING STRUCTURE AND DISCIPLINE•

We usually see Big Dogs or Power Breeds like Shepherds getting aggressive or frustrated because they are not properly fulfilled but once they are, you will see the purest form of Trust, Respect and Love from them.
This case is about an Amazing GSD Marshall who had reactivity issues but is not becoming the most ideal dog. He has the best response time and an amazing energy.

We are so glad to introduce and announce the start of an amazing journey with our very own dog psychology and workout centre. We are eagerly looking forward to meeting dogs with varied personalities and their amazing pet parents who are willing to work hard for their doggos and to them in every way possible.
was 's client and is expanding his knowledge on how to become a dog behaviorist as to help pet parents who are struggling with their dogs every single day to have a balanced life. Seeing how diligent and dedicated Aakash is as a dog behaviorist, he decided to team up with him to open up their own very centre with useful and fun activities for dogs and for their pet parents to observe and learn as well.
After a month of varied discussions and precise planning , DPWC came into existence.
Their hardwork, perseverance and determination into introducing this centre paid off really well and they're more than happy to have taken this initiative and are blessed to have many people supporting them 😇

They call them Stray! We call them a Pack!

These guys may be living out on the streets but they are a part of the Pack which is basically their family. So they can't possibly be stray. They may not have a pure breed status but what they have is pure instincts which helps us as professionals unlock our instinctual side by simply observing and interacting with them. Because they do what we try to teach people in the houses. So when I say we don't need scientists keeping dogs in captivity to research and understand whether they follow pack hierarchy or no. This is what I mean. Simply go to a third world country and spend time simply observing street packs and their nature. I have done my fair share few years back by staying up alternate nights and observing packs across Thane and still do whenever I get time but ofcourse not on the scale that I used to all those years back. I wanted to know more so I spent months but as a curiosity and more understanding of Dog Psychology you can simply do it just few times and trust me you'll get to see so many behaviour patterns and it would be such an eye opener knowing a lot of things we know about dogs are wrong and reality is something different.

That's why we are coming with a new short series on Common Canine Misconceptions/Myths. Teaser out Tomorrow!

These two guys are part of a Pack here and they show so many different patterns of behaviour within the Pack.

Brown and white dog is the Alpha and the black one is second in charge. They keep everything under control and in check.

Remember Dog Psychology before Dog Training ALWAYS.

Finally, the season of diwali has come and as excited as we all are, not all of us are able to enjoy the festival properly , one word - FIREWORKS.

One of the most important command one needs to have over his dog. But recall is more than just the command or the name. It basically shows how good your bond is with your dog. How much your Dog trusts and respects you is seen through this. Watch this video to see how wonderful a bond can be if the Human is trainer and the dog is fulfilled properly.
A bad recall is very dangerous and you can have no free time with your dog. But it doesn't happen miraculouaky you need to also have faith and confidence in yourself and in your dog. And need to practice a lot and be a Consistent Leader. Once mastered it's just Amazing!

Had our first Leash Guidance / Mastering the walk session yesterday. It was fun having such amazing dogs and their pet parents learnt alot. Couldn't be more proud of them.

Dogs don't destroy things just to get back at you because you probably shouted at them. This happens because the dog is not worked out properly both physically and mentally. In such situations prevention is always better but only conditioning a dog not to destroy or steal things won't cut it out. You also need to start working on giving the right excercise and mental stimulation without which the destruction won't stop. When your dog has a job to do he is the most happiest one. It can be anything from waiting for stuff to carrying stuff to simply walking with impulse control etc etc.

So don't forget a physically and mentally tired dog is a happy dog!

Resource Guarding is one of its kind. A dog gets into a very primal state of guarding a resource and can be anything a cloth, food, toy, slippers, pillow and even space. There are different ways how professionals deal with it, but we prefer using the most natural way and then using preventive measures and teaching the human to be a Consistent Leader. Also we need to provide are Dogs with proper Excercise Discipline so that they don't feel they lack doing some work which also is a contributor in resource guarding.

Here, I have three rescued dogs named Mylo (the pug), Junior (the black Indie) and Pari (the brown Indie) who were rescued by their parent .
All three of them have gone through a lot but they're living in the PRESENT happily and not in the PAST. They were found individually but now they've formed an amazing PACK ! 🐾🐶❤
