"Dog Fights in the Same Pack? Here's What You Need to Know! 🐾💡"
Dog fights within the same household can feel overwhelming, but understanding the why is the first step to restoring peace.
🐕 Common causes:
Dominance struggles, fear, or territorial behavior.
Hormonal shifts (like heat cycles or intact males).
Changes in the household (new pet, loss of a companion, or aging dogs).
Anxiety or uncertainty, often triggered by the environment or inconsistent leadership.
Did you know?
Up to 50% of aggressive dogs also suffer from separation anxiety, using aggression as a way to control situations that make them uneasy. Owners can unintentionally escalate this by reacting with tension, yelling, or inconsistency.
✨ The key: Calm, confident energy and leadership. In this reel, watch how I guide my pack during a tense moment, using dog psychology to diffuse aggression and restore balance.
Tag a fellow dog parent who needs to see this! Let’s spread awareness for happier, healthier dogs. 🐾❤️

For a dog's holistic #Growth & #development, they need both physical exercise and mental stimulation !
And you know what ?
With just a little tweak and structure to your daily routine, you can give them both at the same time !
"Physical exercise is important for your dog, but don’t forget the power of mental stimulation! A well-exercised mind leads to a calmer, happier pup.
If your dog is digging, chewing, or zooming around like crazy, it might be a sign they’re bored. Keep their brain engaged, and you’ll notice the difference: a mentally stimulated dog is a tired dog, a tired dog is a calm dog, and a calm dog is a happy dog! Let’s aim for happy dogs all around!"

Pride... my intelligent Indie girl. She lived on the Baner hill for about a year as a stray fending for herself like most of them before we adopted her. It’s still a mystery how she ended up on the hill with no siblings or mother around. Anyhow, nature taught her some pretty useful lessons e.g how to meet and greet a more powerful dog than her and communicate that she means no harm. Notice in the video how she meets Caesar and gives a message through her body language. More often than not, we as humans fail to give our dogs these lessons because we let our human emotions of fear and insecurity come in between the dogs natural instincts. To raise a confident, calm dog it’s important to start socialising your furries early enough in the right environment and most important with the right leadership. Like I always say, let dogs be dogs.

Adult dogs can be great puppy teachers ! If you have an older dog who is calm & well socialised, he/she can be great mentor or teacher to your puppy.
Like in this video you can see my dog Pride(adult) is teaching Akira - gentle play.
At different points in the video, nptice how Pride gives a gentle push to Akira to tell her not to invade her private space. And how the intensity of her push increases when the puppy refuses to listen.
Important to note is that the adult dog is never “aggressive” or “frustrated” with the puppy.
She is calm, assertive and maintains her cool while giving a message. She then also gives the “play bow” to invite her to play again after a few quick and swift corrections.
So what can we humans learn about raising a puppy from this clip -
1. The concept of personal space.
If you see in this clip and generally dogs interacting with each other, you will see that each dog has their personal space. Other dogs can only come into that space when invited else they may get a growl or a snap from the dog whose space has been invaded.
Similarly, all humans have their personal space too and this should be taught to your dogs.
You can let them jump all over you when you want - the key is that they respect your personal space when you want them to.
Many people don’t know that their dogs are actually stressed out when they don’t provide them with clear boundaries (aka leadership).
2. Never get angry or frustrated with your puppy -
Leaders are “calm” .. they maintain their cool ! Shouting, screaming on your puppy will not make him/her respect you. It will only make him fearful of you and that’s really not good for your long term relationship with your dog !
I will soon post a reel on Akira (the little puppy in this clip) who is not so little anymore and has grown into a calm, confident canine citizen ! ❤️

Puppies, like many other animals, often lay down in the sun for several reasons:
1. Warmth: Puppies naturally seek out warmth, and the sun provides a comforting and relaxing source of heat, especially if they are feeling chilly or just want to feel cozy.
2. Vitamin D: Sunlight is essential for the production of Vitamin D in the skin, which helps in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, important for healthy bone development in puppies.
3. Relaxation and Comfort: Laying in the sun can be very soothing. The warmth can help relax their muscles, and the brightness might help them feel safe and content.
4. Instinct: In the wild, sunbathing is a natural behavior for many animals, including canines, as it helps to conserve energy and maintain body temperature.
5. Exploration and Curiosity: Puppies are naturally curious, and they might be drawn to sunlit areas simply because they are bright and inviting, making them good spots to explore or rest.
However, it's essential to ensure that puppies do not overheat or get sunburned, especially in very hot climates.

Luna’s humans enrolled their puppy Luna into our PEP (Puppy Enrichment Program) as soon as she finished all her vaccinations. They worked with us at a very early age of their pup to gain the skills and knowledge that it takes to raise a calm and confident doggo.
Even though they were going through a crucial life changing event of getting ready to welcome a new member in their family, they prioritised training themselves and Luna ahead of time, in order to prepare for the busy times ahead.
Fast forward 2 months into the training program, the little Indie girl is well on her way to growing into a calm, confident and well behaved doggo. Her humans have recently welcomed a baby boy into the family and they have been able to completely focus on the baby while Luna is enjoying her time with us without a care in the world !

Dog training is often looked at as a solution to problems ! Many of us make the mistake of reaching out to a Dog trainer or Behaviorist only once the issues become unmanageable and go out of hand !
In my opinion, Dog Training should be looked as a “Preventative” process.
If you learn to start providing your puppy with the right leadership, guidance & structure at the age of 6-8 weeks and make Dog Psychology the base of your relationship with your puppy.. most of the behaviour issues that adult dogs suffer with, can be completely avoided.
This ofcourse will take the dog parents to equip themselves with the right knowledge, guidance and skills so that he/she can raise a calm, confident and well behaved family member. And that’s what we all want … DONT WE ?
And this is exactly what our Group Puppy Enrichment Program does ! It addresses not just the current issues like mouthing, biting, pee & potty training but will also set a solid foundation to prevent behaviour issues in your puppy in the long term.

Prevention is better than cure. This age old saying has the answer to mostly all behaviour issues that we face with our dogs.
Start early and provide your puppy the structure, guidance and leadership he needs to be able to grow into a calm, confident canine citizen.
1. Meet your puppy’s physical, social & exploratory needs through a set routine.
2. Teach your puppy independence and also to be comfortable alone. Crate training is a great way to instill this.
3. Don’t let your puppy follow you around from room to room. Don’t give him your attention all the time especially if you are a work from home parent. Constant attention when you are home makes it harder for your puppy when you leave home.
