If you are taking your dog for hiking, treking during this season when the grass is now dried. Here are few tips to rember.
π Avoid going too deep into grass.
π Thoroughly inspect your dog's feet, ears, eyes and whole body after a walk for any presence of spear grass, if you find it remove it gently. Make sure its not broke and there is no remaining part under the skin.
π If you notice your dog licking or chewing his feet, paws, check it throughly.
π If possible visit a Professional groomer after the hiking. Deep cleaning and dryer can help to find any presence of spear grass seeds, spikes or leftovers.
The common areas of a dog for grass seeds to be a problem are:

πΆ in their ear canals
πΆ occasionally their mouths, especially if they try to lick them off their coat
