OLIVE has gone missing near Plot No - I/14 Civil Township on 20th March '24 at around 11 a.m. He had always been a completely indoor cat, not accustomed to life outdoors and hence cannot survive there for long. His fur-mom is distraught, and his family is heartbroken. It's a sincere request 🙏🏽 to anyone out there to help us find him and SAVE HIS LIFE. Persons with confirmed news/pictures of him that will help us find him will be rewarded handsomely.

This is a pet dog, abandoned by his owners at NIT campus, Rourkela. The dog is very friendly and docile. He is being hunted by the local stray dogs hence he needs a foster/adopter soon, to be saved from being killed by the local dogs.

The municipality cleaned the city by relocating stray animals from the streets and dumping them at Sec-14 without any shelter or kennels.
My mother was picked up in the first phase of the cleaning process, and our litter of 4, with eyes still shut, were left to die. One after the other, all of my brothers & sisters got killed. If I don't get the protection of a home, I'll also die soon 🥺 What wrong did I do to deserve this?
Please do not let that happen

Calling all animal lovers from across India to witness the barbaric manner in which dogs are picked off the streets of this city........"to clean the streets", that's what they say! The Municipal Council has ordered this gore to happen and the best part is that they do not have a place to keep them. The dogs are taken to the few kennels near at the Govt. Vet. Hospital and kept till the next catch. Before which they are left at the jungle.
We at LONYX use a dog catching net for rescues but the Municipality persons are not ready to use that. Have a look at these videos at the brutal manner in which they are catching the dogs. Some of the dogs die in the process due to strangulation, some die as their necks are cut and the rest are dumped at the kennels. If no one claims then they leave then in the jungle near Lathikata jungles and the next day they pick up more dogs.
So basically, the humans enjoying the World Cup Hockey are doing it at the expense of the lives of these Speechless Souls.
Is there nobody to raise a voice for these Voiceless Souls to save them from cruelty and relocation? 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

NO BOWLS EMPTY ~ LONYX's Annual Mega Food Drive
We all are witnessing the mass relocation of of our Furry-Friends from the streets of Rourkela and the cruel manner of their pick up, leading to an ongoing terror among the speechless souls. In an attempt to restore their faith in humanity and provide a glimmer of hope to these stray animals, LONYX is organizing its Mega Food Drive on this 10th January.
If you empathize with the tough life of our stray friends and they hardships that they face on daily basis, if you want to make their lives easier even for a single day, if you want to tell them that YES, YOU TRUELY CARE, join us on 10th.
You can contribute either by physically participating with us or by contributing in cash or kind. The last date for joining us will be on 8th Jan and we will accept contributions till 9th January. For further details kindly contact on the number provided on the posters.

PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR ANIMALS 🪔🪔🪔
If you have pets please keep them in the most soundproof places your house. You can further help them by putting your cloth headbands (used by females) over their ears, running over their head and looping over, below their chin. If you don't have these then you can make one from your thick old socks by cutting away the foot part and using the leg part.
If you feed strays then please try to restrain them at safe places because at this time of the year they remain too scared due to the light, smoke and sound effects created by humans.
Most outdoor animals especially birds face trauma and sometimes death due to fear, because of the toxic smoke and loud sounds emitted by crackers.
Humans won't stop lighting crackers but we animal lovers can try to protect our beloved animals (as much as is possible on our part), although each one of us has our own limitations but let's realize that a small act of compassion goes a long way in the journey of love.
It's an appeal 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 to all animal lovers to use eco-friendly crackers instead of conventional fire crackers and if you don't get those please try to find contentment & spread joy by celebrating this festival as a festival of light not as a festival of noise and smoke.

BEAUTY IS SKIN DEEP, and in dogs it's just COAT DEEP. Please don't buy dogs by their looks, PLEASE GET TO KNOW ABOUT THE BREED BEFORE YOU GET ONE HOME 🙏🏽 Indian breeds dogs are best for our climate but if you still NEED a Foreign Breed then get one from a shelter or other Animal Welfare NGOs.
Please don't BUY dogs 🙏🏽 ADOPT them. They are NOT PLAY THINGS. Dogs have lives, they feel pain, in fact MOST DOGS FEEL EMOTIONS MORE THAN MOST HUMANS. It's a SIN to ABANDON your pet dog but most demons known as humans do that. If you bring an abandoned dog home, you will surely get everything that you get from a dog you buy and along with it you get GOOD KARMA and the satisfaction of BEING HUMAN!
