These 2 fur babies (a male & a female) were abandoned by a family in Sodepur & were left out on streets. A kind friend from our group Mousumi Bhowmick fostered them to save them from cold. We were informed about this. Our Payel Mitra is on her way to rescue them...❤️

✅IMMEDIATE POST-OPERATIVE CARE✅
----------------------------------------------------
Points to be noted by all bun parents after your bunny underwent surgery:--
🐰 Bunny must be properly hydrated and fed well in post operative period.
🐰 As soon as the bunny is out of anesthesia, start syringe feeding water & critical care 10-15 ml every hour (adult bunnies). Continue this till the bun starts eating on its own.
🐰 Monitor the bun's activity, p**p & p*e. 24 hours after surgery is vital.
🐰 Wound dressing to be done twice daily from the day after surgery-- Use saline water/betadiene liquid for cleaning & apply T. Bact ointment.
🐰 Do not allow the bun chew/scratch the incision area.
🐰 Keep the living space smaller so that the bun cannot run/ move around too much.

This 2.0-2.5 months old baby bun was dumped in my shelter as the owner wasn't ready to keep him. He had a pair before who died just due to wrong diet and lack of knowledge. After her death, owner decided he will not keep this baby also (just as if they are toys 😒😒). Wanted to say manything but the boy who was talking to me and came to my shelter to surrender this baby, is a child himself. His parents were nowhere in this entire scene 😒😒. But It is actually parents duty to teach their children that living beings r not toys for God's sake 😑😑😑

He is very much playful, at present healthy (after proper diet transformation) and loves to cuddle. He just wants a loving family.
Please come forward and make him a part of your family ❤️❤️

The new bun is a happy one now and I've named him Peanut. As he had nuts like growth in his ear and head 😝
His diet transformation is also in it's way. He is now having hay.

Two extremely malnourished bunnies were left yesterday in road to die in Jagaddal. Rescue done. In this eve of Durgapuja people are cleaning their homes and throwing out the bunnies also as trash. There are 8 rescues done in just last month 😑😑
Please come forward for adoption or else donate. Our shelter is already overcrowded but We cannot leave them to die in road 😑

Few days back we were notified about few Rabbits that were left outside one office building in an open cage in a street of Tollugunge. The buns were wet in rain and covered with mud all over, thus one can imagine what agony they lived through. We don't know how long they have been living like this...💔 They had no owner to feed/look after & no roof over their head!
All thanks to our group members Dhar & Sarmistha Das who gave us the information and therefore the rescue was possible. Our group Payel Mitra and our dear friend Priyanka Vajjhala Vedula together went for rescue. There are 3 males & 1female. The female may be pregnant, we are not yet sure😩.
Following we have shared pictures of before & after rescue. They are safe now in Payel di's rescue home "Bun Haven" & 1 is with Priyanka.
Our rescue is already overcrowded. We need funds & adopters for our babies' wellbeing. Please come forward & help us🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Just wanted to share something about me today.
As all of you already know, more than 80 rabbits depend on me.
I am thinking of writing a post from last 10 days, just could manage some time today.

I am a medical transcriptionist by profession but I left my fixed job as I am the only person to take care of the buns in the shelter. But I still do online jobs to make money for them. I foster buns when their parents are away for a vacation (though I myself haven't for more than 5 years 😛). I also sell hay and do everything from cleaning it to packing by myself without any help so that I can save the money which a labour will charge to do this. Everything I do, i try to save each and every penny for the shelter.
I am also married and handle all normal family responsibilities as a housewife.

I ask you to be kind, and if you have some spare money would you consider to donate so we could have some food for them.

People in this world are barbaric and cruel. Many of them are frustrated and go home and take out their frustrations on innocent pets.🚫
Yesterday at approx 1.30 pm our Payel Mitra (member of PFA) was informed about a person residing at South Shibachal Road who abused & brutally tortured 2 rabbits. The buns were strangled, put inside plastic bags & spinned with an intention to throw out 🤬🤬🤬. The white bun in the picture below had 1 leg broken! A neighbour who witnessed the whole thing, tried to stop this & was also physically assaulted by the same abuser.
Payel Mitra & Priyanka Vajjhala Vedula went for rescue immediately within 2 hours, but as expected, they refused to give away the buns saying that they'll do whatever they want with the buns, it's their personal matter😤. Then Payel and Priyanka went to police station to lodge F.I.R against the abuser. The localities also helped them as they were eye witnesses of all the abuses, not only done with the buns, but also with the stray dogs and cats of that locality. With promt help from Nimta Police Station, the Rabbits were finally rescued.💝
Below we have shared pictures of the buns. They are now in Payel Mitra's shelter home "Bun Haven". Kudos to these 2 frontliners of our bun community who are always there to help.
