The baobab fruit contains several seeds encased within a hard shell. Once the ripe fruit falls from the tree, local harvesters gather it. This sustainable harvesting method allows the tree to continue its life cycle, spanning thousands of years ♾️
Following the harvest, the fruit is broken open; the seeds are separated from the pulp, cleaned and left to dry in the sun ☀️ This natural drying process helps retain the nutritional content of the seeds and reduces the need for additional energy inputs, contributing to the sustainability of the process ♻️
Once dry, the seeds are cold-pressed to extract the oil🫙Cold-pressing is a mechanical process that applies pressure without using heat. This technique ensures the maximum retention of nutrients, as heat can degrade some beneficial compounds.
The resulting baobab fruit oil is a ✨golden-yellow liquid✨ rich in nutrients that can be used directly on the dog skin. The oil is usually filtered to remove any remaining seed particles, and then it’s ready for use. The process from tree to oil is mainly manual 💪, preserving the traditional methods and providing income to local communities!

Your doggo’s daily walks are his favourite time of the day (yes, probably even more than mealtimes). Yet, to most pet parents, the purpose of the walk is to get their dog’s ‘business’ out of the way. But walks are more than just potty breaks for your dog. They truly enjoy themselves because of the typical doggo things they get to do- sniff new smells, meet other dogs and new people, catch up on the news of the neighbourhood and so on.
Dog walking is a great way to get your pet both mentally stimulated and physically exercised. Using the right dog walk accessories is the most important to ensure your dog is comfortable throughout. Here’s how both of you can enjoy this time~
1. Assume the role of pack leader: A lot of people let their dogs lead the way on a walk which is a bad idea because it makes the dog feel as if they need to shield you from the dangers that possibly await. The solution is to use calm-assertive energy to take back control, and to take the lead. It’s perfectly fine to have your dog at your side, but you always want to be just a fraction ahead.
2. Take leisurely walks: Walks are no fun if you or your dog are rushing through it. Set aside some time for it twice a day so you don’t have to hurry through it.
3. Let them sniff: This is a must! Constantly jerking back the leash and pulling him away from something will only make him more curious. Sniffing is mental stimulation, so it’s actually tiring them out more than the physical exercise of the walk. Be watchful of what they sniff and don’t let them pick up trash!
4. Change things up: Dogs like routine and they probably have a ‘favourite spot’ to do their business. But they also like to explore new routes and smells. So, every once in a while, surprise them with a diversion.

Ever wondered how and why your doggo’s fur near the tear ducts as well as around the mouth turns reddish-brown? Well this discolouration near the tear ducts is called tear stains 💧🩸 It’s caused by an iron-containing dye molecule called porphyrin. When the body breaks down red blood cells, porphyrin is released. This molecule is excreted in the bile, tears, saliva and urine of dogs. When excessive amounts of tears are released from your dog’s eyes or your dog is licking the mouth a lot, the porphyrin in the tears and the saliva will stain the fur.
📌Should you worry?
In most cases, dog tear stains are common and manageable. However, some instances may be linked to other health issues. For example, tear stains that are more brownish than red-colored and have a foul odor could indicate a yeast infection🦠
**If your dog has a yeast infection that keeps coming back, getting your dog off processed kibble is the most effective way to actually stop the problem.**

While Kibble may seem like the most appropriate and convenient food for your pet, it’s the worst thing you can give to your precious doggo!🤮 Common kibble in the market is processed at really high temperatures🔥High-heat processing can decrease digestibility and nutrient availability. Lets decode what the ingredients written behind them actually mean:
🥴Fillers: Some kibbles contain high amounts of fillers like corn or wheat that offer less nutritional value.
🥴Byproducts: Byproducts are the parts of an animal that are not used for human consumption, such as organs, bones, and skin. They can be a source of nutrients, but they may also be of lower quality than meat.
🥴Bone meal: it is a low-quality protein source and can be difficult for dogs to digest.
🥴Preservatives: Preservatives are used to prevent dog food from spoilage. Some preservatives, such as BHA and BHT, have been linked to health problems in dogs.
🥴Corn meal: Corn meal is a type of grain that is often used in dog food. It is a source of carbohydrates, but it is not a high-quality protein source.
🥴Ground Whole Corn and Wheat: Not high-quality protein sources. Problematic for dogs with grain sensitivities. Research suggests these ingredients might be linked to allergies and skin issues in some dogs.
