Safety, Security and of course, Nap time.
Vertical spaces and hiding spaces are non-negotiable. Before you get a cat, clear space above a fridge, cupboard or shelf. Kittens might need a stepping stool nearby. Having a cat means having a little hunter who needs to see the world from the safety of a tree or bush. If you cannot plant a full-grown tree in your living room, there are some practical alternatives.

A personal favourite of ours is the FOFOs Pet Bed Snail or Rabbit. It is snuggly, dark and enclosed. It is perfect for those who like a colder room. The anti-skid base adds to stability under the cat's paws. The velboa fabric is pet safe too.

Place it in a safe corner or higher up on a cupboard/fridge/desk. You can also use it as a warmer alternative to sitting on your laptop. The golden rule is NEVER to disturb a sleeping cat. If you pet your cat up during a nap, this reduces the safety of that spot.
If you have a warmer room, your cat will want a cooler alternative.

Every dog needs a chance - Indies are great companions too - use tools/toys to train your indie to heel. “Indies make superb pets! The best part about adopting an Indie is to see how the dog blends in with the owner thereby forming into a beautiful bond. The Indie is introduced to toys which draws its interest. These toys are used to get a scared dog out of it’s shell or a dog with a stable temperament to learn new commands. Both categories work. It's a superb tool to introduce the dog to being comfortable around humans if they are not. You can see the progress in the videos itself. There are 3 different dogs, with 3 different personalities. I've worked with them trying to get them to learn basic obedience commands so that it gets easier for them to get adopted. I’ve hidden treats in the Barkbutler Fooball and they love it. The same is used for them to learn the "stand" command. This command is also a fun game for them. You can see them enjoy working with the carrot - going into a "crawl" with the happiest of tail wags! Or even the "heel" work being taught for them to learn how to walk when on a leash and not pull the leash. The toys are used for a dual effect; to draw interest i.e. a drive + given as a reward once the task is completed. The carrot was also used for 3 other commands; "down, flat and roll over". The dog had so much fun doing this because the dog knew that it was being rewarded with the carrot itself in the end! The FOFOS Woodplay bone was used as a great "time by myself" game. This comes in use when you want to keep the dog busy by itself! How an aggressive doberman learns how to interact with humans.

A Doberman is a guard dog. Its nature is to protect its owners. However, there are several dogs that people got during the lockdown that never understood what the outside world was about and became aggressive just by being inside. With a lack of exposure to the outdoors, you can see what happens to the dog. The way out of this, is to use positive reinforcement techniques by using the toys and thereby teaching the dog a disciplined way of life, and also enjoying the toys. I used the toys to both build focus towards me during the heel walk as well as play with it inside the compound and increased its interest. By increasing the focus during the heel walk, I want the dog to understand that it should only pay attention to me and no other stimuli. "My Jack Russell Terrier is a picky eater. The breed is known to have an individual character, but picky eating can be a matter of concern. Such a breed must be trained from the day it steps in to home! With the pup eating smaller quantities than usual, training too is difficult because that too is based on a food drive, therefore : picky eater = low food drive = less enthusiasm while training. So the dog ice cream worked wonders because the idea was to train him with basic treats, and then treat him to this flavourful ice cream made ESPECIALLY for dogs. This technique over time makes the dog look forward to training because he knows the reward he will get at the end of the training is worth while. Dogs have descended from opportunistic hunters. They are used to eating whatever they really find! But when you know your dog is a finicky one, you need to outsmart him! Another way the ice cream is used is to mix it with his meal! So meal time becomes more interesting. Then gradually reduce this to his normal food. The ice cream is a great way to beat the heat too. A dogs appetite can reduce with the heat.. The ice cream helps to cool down the body here as well! I've also used the ice cream box to teach him ""smell search"". A Jack Russell was bred to hunt wolves... One of their traits are to dig and dig and dig some more. In the video with me present, you can see how I've hidden the box of ice cream, and encouraged him with a ""smell search"" command. Super excited to have you here fren. We make durable dog toys and I personally test them out before it reaches you. We started not to long ago with my late friend Chloe. Our toys are special as we personally take time to make sure the toys have weird funny eyes and squeakers that make your ears go UP! Playtime will always be fun!
