**"Aurangabad Municipal Corporation is charging ₹750 for a pet license—even for rescued Indian dogs and cats! This is unfair! 🐶🐱**
Adopting street animals should be encouraged, not taxed. Instead of imposing fees, the municipal corporation should:
✅ Run FREE pet license camps for adopted Indian dogs & cats
✅ Promote adoption & responsible pet care
✅ Shut down illegal breeding of foreign breeds
Let’s raise our voices for our desi strays! #AdoptDontShop #FreePetLicense #StopIllegalBreeding #IndianDogs #IndianCats"

📣 **Let’s Talk About Pet License Fees** 🐾
In most cities, pet license fees are as low as ₹50, and in some, it’s completely free. But in **Chatrapati Sambhajinagar**, the Municipal Corporation charges a hefty ₹750, which seems too much, especially with no added benefits. This makes it incredibly difficult for Indian pet parents, particularly those who have adopted **Indie dogs and cats** from the streets.
As responsible pet parents, we believe the government should provide **zero-fee licenses** for adopted animals and promote the adoption of Indian breeds. 🐕🐈
By making this change, we can help **more Indie dogs** find forever homes and encourage people to adopt rather than buy.
Let’s raise our voices for the adoption of street animals and fight for fair licensing fees! 🐾

Upon receiving a report from a concerned citizen regarding an illegal buffalo fight scheduled in Ambad district on Feb 15' 2025, APLA AND PETA India Street Dogs of Bombay promptly took action. Collaborating closely with the Ambad Police, successful efforts were made to prevent the event from proceeding.
Spectacles that force animals to engage in combat are not only inherently cruel and violent but also illegal. Animals used for fighting endure immense suffering, including severe physical injuries and psychological distress. These animals are subjected to inhumane training d to encourage attack. They endure constant physical abuse and suffer from being kept tied or caged in poor conditions.
The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act 1960 prohibits inciting animals to fight with each other. In a landmark judgment in 2014, the Supreme Court of India ruled in favour of the petitioners, PETA India, and the government advisory body, the Animal Welfare Board of India, establishing that bullfighting, dogfighting, and any other staged fights between animals, including between humans and other animals, for entertainment, must end.
Buffalo fighting involves pitting two buffaloes against each other in a violent and bloody confrontation. The animals are hit and goaded into fighting until one is deemed the winner. The goal is to incite violence between the animals for entertainment or gambling. These events subject the animals to significant physical and psychological harm, including fractures, puncture wounds, severe stress and even death.
