Hydroponics is a great way to grow plants in Urban Environments.
It involves growing plants without soil by using water-based mineral nutrient solutions in an aqueous medium.

Don't forget to turn on the motor! ☘️
You can use any aquarium oxygen motor for Hydroponics. Keep the motor on for 5-6 hours daily. ⏱

Adding the Nutrients!
Since there is no soil used in this system, the nutrients are added to the water. 💧

The first shoot!

How does the system work?
There is approximately 5l of water in the Orange PVC Pipe. Holes (2 inch wide at 10 cm gaps) have been created for cups to fit in them. The cup contains Clay Pellets and the seed. Water does not need to be changed but we do need to add nutrients to it and give it oxygen!

What is in the cup?
These are called Clay Pellets. In Hydroponics, they are referred to as 'Hydrotons'. They soak water through holes in the cups and provide it to the plant.
