Here are a few tips to keep your dogs hydrated :

• Place water bowls accessible in each room
• Carry a bottle of water for your dogs whenever you take them out
• Add ice cubes to their water bowl
• Make their meals more soupy
• Feed moisture rich foods
• Rehydrate dehydrated foods
• Make smoothies with goat milk or camel milk or coolers using ingredients safe for dogs
• In case your dog doesn’t prefer plain water you can dilute some meat stock, coconut water, bone broth, curd, kefir or fruit juices in it
• You can freeze fruits or vegetable purée and add the cubes to their water

Please place a bowl of water outside for your community animals as well ❤️

Rise in temperature and reduced activity in dogs leads to reduced energy requirements causing them to lose appetite in summers.

Here are a few tips to help your dogs cope with loss of appetite :

• Change their meal timings. Most dogs prefer to eat early mornings and late evenings as it’s comparatively cooler
• Alternatively you could try feeding smaller meals in more frequent intervals instead of feeding large meals
• Add some of their favourite ingredients to help entice them to eat better
• Avoid acidity by giving them pupsicles made using curd, kefir, fruits or berries
• Add pre & probiotics to their meals
• Offer cooling snacks like cucumbers & watermelon
• Indulge in indoor activities to keep their minds engaged by stuffing a Toppl/Kong or scattering treats on a snuffle mat
• Ensure not to feed treats in large quantities as it could cause dogs to lose appetite as well
• Dogs may avoid dry textured foods in summer so give them moisture rich foods and even those who feed kibble can add some fresh foods to the bowl that help make them more palatable.

⚠️ Losing appetite in summers is normal. Not avoiding food. In case your dog refuses to eat at all please contact your vet.

: I don’t know where or how to start for Carni, when I’d lost all hope for my pet, Carni came in like a ray of hope.
Being a vegetarian, cooking food was initially very difficult for me but & ; helped me throughly.

For me Carni is not a facility I use for my dog, it’s family.

: This goes for Ashritha, who has been extremely helpful in clearing up every little doubt I had and still have. She explained cooking, storing meats so well. She helped me with the current vet I’m consulting. She curated a diet chart taking every little detail into consideration. Ashritha is so hands on with sharing references/links needed in no time. My babies are thriving and am extremely happy with Ashritha’s dedication. I’ve started taking cooked meals as from the diet chart from Ashritha, she not only sorts everything so impeccably, but also makes sure to remember the things that get skipped in the order list sometimes, the level of dedication she puts in, I feel so blessed to have known Carni’s and Ashritha.

: Consulting Carni kitchen has been the best decision I have ever made for Hailey's health. Ashritha has helped us immensely and the health benefits achieved via change in diet are visible within a couple of months. From limping on her hind leg after a run to running like a maniac without any discomfort now, the only change has been Hailey's diet along with other issues like skin infections/itching which have drastically reduced now. Wish i could go back in time and make the changes in food right when she was a puppy, she has never enjoyed her meals as much as she does now!
Thank you for introducing us to this amazing world of healthy pet food, where our babies not only survive but THRIVE!! Hailey woofs you girls !!
