തിരുവിഴാംകുന്ന് കന്നുകാലി ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ മൃഗ ക്ഷേമത്തെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ശില്പശാലയും പുതുതായി നിർമ്മിച്ച ഗവേഷക വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്കുള്ള ഹോസ്റ്റലിന്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനവും

കേരള വെറ്ററിനറി ആൻഡ് അനിമൽ സയൻസസ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയുടെ തിരുവാഴാംകുന്ന് ഉള്ള ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ മൃഗസൗഖ്യവും ഏകാരോഗ്യവും എന്ന വിഷയത്തെ അധികരിച്ച് ജനുവരി 22ന് ഏകദിന അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ശില്പശാല നടത്തപ്പെടും. മനുഷ്യനും മൃഗങ്ങളും സഹവർത്തിത്വത്തോടെ ജീവിക്കണമെന്ന സന്ദേശം നൽകുന്നതിന് മൃഗ ക്ഷേമ ശാസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ ശരിയായ പ്രയോഗം അനിവാര്യമാണ്. അതിന് വേണ്ടി തെരുവ് നായകൾ, വന്യജീവികൾ എന്നിവ ഉയർത്തുന്ന പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള കേരളത്തിന് അനുയോജ്യമായ രൂപരേഖ തയ്യാറാക്കുന്നതിന് ഈ ശില്പശാല സഹായിക്കും
അന്നേദിവസം രാവിലെ 10 30 ന് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള പൊതു യോഗത്തിൽ ബഹു. മണ്ണാർക്കാട് എംഎൽഎ എൻ ഷംസുദ്ദീൻ അവർകൾ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിക്കുകയും ശില്പശാല, ഗവേഷക വിദ്യാർഥികൾക്ക് പുതുതായി നിർമ്മിച്ച ഹോസ്റ്റൽ കെട്ടിടത്തിൻ്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം എന്നിവ ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട മൃഗസംരക്ഷണ ക്ഷീര വികസന വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി ശ്രീമതി ജെ. ചിഞ്ചുറാണി അവർകൾ നിർവഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. വെറ്ററിനറി ആൻഡ് അനിമൽ സയൻസസ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി വൈസ് ചാൻസിലർ ഡോക്ടർ എം. ആർ ശശീന്ദ്രനാഥ്, അനിമൽ വെൽഫയർ ബോർഡ് ഓഫ് ഇൻഡ്യ ചെയർമാൻ ഡോക്ടർ ഓ .പി ചൗധരി, ഐ.എഫ്. എസ് എന്നിവർ വിശിഷ്ടാതിഥികളായിരിക്കും.

അനിമൽ വെൽഫയർ ബോർഡ് ഓഫ് ഇൻഡ്യ ചെയർമാൻ ഡോക്ടർ ഓ .പി ചൗധരി, നേതൃത്വം നൽകുന്ന ശില്പശാലയിൽ മൃഗ ക്ഷേമ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സന്നദ്ധ സംഘടനകളുടെ പ്രതിനിധികൾ, വെറ്ററിനറി േഡാക്ടർമാർ, മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകർ അധ്യാപകർ വിദ്യാർഥികൾ തുടങ്ങി ഇരുന്നൂറോളം പേർ പങ്കെടുക്കും.

Pheromones do wonders in biological world. Look at this buffalo readily licking a calf belonging to a crossbred cow ( different species!) when smeared with birthfluids! When there is still birth or death of calf immediately after calving,just take a small vaginal swab of birthfluinds, dilute and smear all over the body of any compatible calf and offer to lick to the happy mother😌

കെനിയയിലാണ്. ലോകത്തിലെ 26 വിവിധ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റികൾ ചേർന്ന Global Farm Platform നടത്തുന്ന സെമിനാറിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാനെത്തിയതാണ്. തിരുവാഴാംകുന്ന് ഫാം ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ക്ഷണം കിട്ടിയത്. യൂറോപ്പിൽ നിന്നും ആഫ്രിക്കയിൽ നിന്നും ചൈനയിൽനിന്നും കാനഡയിൽ നിന്നും പ്രതിനിധികൾ ഉണ്ട്‌. ആദ്യമായിട്ടാണ് ആഫ്രിക്ക കാണുന്നത്. പരിപാടി നടക്കുന്ന international livestock research institute (ILRI), കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞതിൽ ഒരു vet എന്ന നിലയിൽ ഏറെ സന്തോഷം.

The severe and long-lasting impacts of climate change on animals which might question the sustainability of this sector as a livelihood is not only by the direct impact of the climate change but also by the indirect impacts to the availability of feed, raw materials for concentrate (both quality and quantity), keeping quality of livestock products, etc. Increased human interventions in wild animal habitat and changes in forest ecosystems due to climate change results in increasing numbers of human animal conflicts. All these peculiarities point to the fact that an integrated multi-disciplinary approach involving different disciplines and departments like agriculture, environment and climate change, forest, engineering and health are inevitable for implementing the schemes and projects to alleviate the deleterious impacts. LRS and CAADECCS of KVASU along with various agencies are at it.
