Our Story

About - FiDO Fido means "faithful" and originated from the Latin word "fidelitas". Put in other words it means trustworthy and capable of someone you can confide in. There have also been two famous dogs named FiDO historically, the first one being a street dog who lived in Italy during WWII and hailed and recognised largely for his demonstration of unwavering loyalty to his dead master. The second belonged to none other than the 16th century American President Abraham Lincoln. He was again of no recognised breed or ancestry however was one of Lincoln’s favourite dogs among many and was usually seen following Lincoln around. FiDO as a brand merits all the quality of faith, trust, eternal loyalty and integrity. FiDO was formulated keeping in mind the needs of a dog being raised in India. Most of our fur buddies are originally breeds not native to India and hence with a changed environment, their genetically handed down digestive needs also change. Each formula is designed keeping this is mind along with all other essential principles of nutrition, health and balanced diets. We believe in the motto 'Dogs are a human’s best friends' and thus we make our food up keeping those standards. Our main focus is that our food is nutritionally balanced with a precise balance of various ingredients (proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, fatty acids, whole grains, minerals & vitamins). We love our pets, and thus our goal is to create the healthiest food possible - because a healthier dog is a happier dog, which leads to a happy dog-parent. All of this care goes into each and every bag we pack. All our ingredients are largely human standard and are procured from best in the world facilities. We at Fido handpick our ingredients. Any meat and fresh vegetables which we humans won’t consume ourselves are not included in our food products. Furthermore, the raw materials that go into our food are sourced from suppliers up keeping the highest specifications. Stringent quality from sourcing to packaging ensures that your dog gets the best. About Gáta Cats are basically carnivores with great agility, a hunting temperament, love for fish and then lots of lazing around. Home cats are no different, however have domesticated over time to adjust to our ways of life, however like with us as well, some things do not change. Dietary and nutritional needs are one such aspect that has remained largely unchanged over the last few centuries since domestication. Unlike other pets, cats are nocturnal and very active at nights. They engage in a lot of physical activity in various forms and hence their dietary needs are higher. Gáta has accounted for all of these factors in our formulations. Gáta is manufactured using carefully selected food-grade materials such as fresh and high-quality chicken, sea-fish and dried whole egg powder to provide your lovely cat with a holistic and balanced nutrition.
