🇮🇳 Celebrating the 77th Independence Day at Ganesh Ghat was an exceptional occasion, filled with immense joy and pride.
Members of UCI Foundation gathered near the Ganesh Ghat to commemorate this significant milestone in our nation's history. The atmosphere was electric as our esteemed senior member, Madan Joshi, had the honor of unfurling the national flag.
With every flutter of the tricolor, our hearts swelled with patriotism and gratitude for the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. As the flag soared high against the azure sky, it symbolized the spirit of unity and resilience that defines our great nation. Together, we rejoiced in the invaluable freedom we enjoy today and renewed our commitment to uphold the ideals that our forefathers fought for.

"To donate blood is to donate life." 🩸
To spread the importance of donating blood and saving lives, our organisation through our wing Red Hope, organised our first Blood Donation drive in collaboration with Tezpur Law College Student's Union. The Donation drive was held at Blood Centre, Kanaklata Civil Hospital, Tezpur on 17-03-2023.
We are happy to share that there has been active participation by the masses and around 60 voluntary donors came forward for this noble cause. As a token of gratitude and appreciation, certificates and saplings were distributed among the saviours of life.
We would like to extend our warmest gratitude to Rotaract Club of Greater Tezpur City-3240, Miles with Cycle organization and Rhino Donors, who also work to bridge the gap between the donors and patients. We thank the members of UCI Foundation and TLCSU without whose hard work and sincere efforts, this event wouldn't have been possible. A sincere word of appreciation for our donors who were the real heroes today.
We look forward to more such events and promise to continue our service for community welfare. ❤

Anant Vidya - UCI Foundation is an initiative of UCI Foundation wherein around 80 unprivileged children are provided free education on a daily basis. The members work for the holistic development of these children to make them capable for this competitive world. Free tution classes including extra curricular activities are being carried out regularly since 2019.
The children are considered an extended family of this organisation and in order to widen their smiles and add up to their festive joy, the members took them out for a pleasant surprise.
On the occasion of New Year & Republic Day, around 70 students of Anant Vidya were taken out for a wonderful shopping experience at Zudio, Tezpur, wherein they were given the opportunity to purchase gifts and utilities for themselves. This festive season definitely turned out merrier for this tiny tots as they enjoyed this new experience.
We extend our gratitude to our donor, Rahul Choudhary and our members for carrying out this successful drive. A big thanks to Zudio team for assisting our students throughout the purchase! ❤

14th of November is a day that celebrates the beautiful existence of innocent children . To mark their special day, Children's Day was celebrated by a small event wherein our tiny tots were distributed school bags as a token of love. Our kids had a fun time with our members and bonded over memories which shall definitely widen their smiles down the memory lane.
We thank respected ADC, Dyotiva Bora Ma'am for taking out some time from her busy schedule and being a part of our celebration. UCI Foundation extends a warm gratitude and our kids shall forever be obliged and elated. Our Foundation also extends our gratitude to Anupama Dhadha ji, Bonosmita Baruah Baa, Madan Joshi bhaiya and Sajjan Joshi bhaiya for their contribution towards this event. This time a group of transgenders hoisted the National Flag to mark the 76th Independence Day at UCI Foundation, Tezpur.
It's a moment of immense pride as our nation walks into 75 glorious years of Independence.
We as Indians have envisioned a nation that speaks of equality and oneness. This year our team celebrated Independence Day with the theme of "Freedom of Equality."
We are proud that for the first time in our beloved town, the national flag was hoisted by Moromi Begum, a Transgender.
Tagore once said, "Where the mind is free and the head is held high, let my country awake into that heaven of Freedom," and its time we inculcate this feeling of equality and free our minds of gender bias and discrimination. While we talk of equality, its time like these where we actually get the opportunity to spread awareness for the same.
Our team extends a warm gratitude to the Transgender community who honoured us with their presence today on the event of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. As a part of our celebration, our team also distributed sweets among the patients of TB Hospital, Tezpur.

🔴 4: Free Medical Relief Camp!
The aftermath of natural calamities like flood pose more adverse effects than the calamity per se. The flood affected victims of the village of Seetalmari are fighting with diseases like fever, cough, cold,skin infections and various other issues which is adding up to their miseries.
In our fourth phase of Assam Flood Relief we conducted a Medical Health Camp at Dhekiajuli on 05/08/2022. More than 250 people till now were offered medical aid wherein primary health checkup and basic medications were given to the flood affected people of the area.
We thank Dr. Sourav Sharma for coming forward and helping us with the camp. Also kudos to the team members without whose enthusiasm and hard work this wouldn't have been possible.
Lastly, we extend our gratitude to Abhineet Mishra who poured all the love and generous donations to our team to carry out these medical drives. Also, a big thank to Tezpur Foodie and it's founder, Pronoy Zeet for partnering with us and Encompass India for their support. ❤
We continue to stand by our state and promise to do every bit for the upliftment of our people.

Life is truly unpredictable. It deeply saddens us today to acknowledge the fact that our beloved friend and social worker, Vineet Bagaria is no more among us. Being a man of utmost generosity with the zeal to work for the society made him stand out . The news of his su***de came as a bolt from the blue. Vineet was a man of virtue, dreams and kindness. He had great ambition for the community and stray animals and always talked about how he would better the lives of strays by doing humanitarian work through his organization, Animal Welfare People He left us really early and his death is indeed a great loss for the society as a whole.
What saddens us more is the series of events which forced him to take this drastic step. Someone who cried for support due to repeated harassment but all of his cries went into vain. Justice for Vineet and his family is the need of the hour.
While we mourn over his death and pray for the departed soul, justice is what we all seek for.
He will rest in peace only when justice shall be served. Hence we demand that proper investigations should be done and the culprits be punished by law.
Rest in peace, dear friend. We lost gem of a person today. We will see you on the other side. ❤🙏🏽

We at Anant Vidya - UCI Foundation follow this quote religiously. Studies took the back seat today. Our children as well as our members put on the 3D glasses and tried to visit the land of dinosaurs.
We giggled, we laughed and we marvelled at the creations of those majestic beasts. The children went in with curiosity and smiles and came out of the hall with even bigger smiles and those smiles keep us going and working hard even more. We thank Anwar Cinema Hall for letting our children watch one of the movies that was a major part of our lives growing up, and it makes us happier that we were able to give some piece of our childhood to these kids.

3 - Relief Kit Distribution at Sh*talmari, Sonitpur.
The flood affected areas under Sh*talmari, Dhekiajuli are immediately visited and assisted by our team, UCI Foundation
Around 60 families were offered essential food kit comprising of Rice, Dal, Potatoes, Bread, Mustard Oil, Bread and Sanitary Pad.
Our previous drives were carried out at Hojai and Morigaon last week.
We thank Encompass Charitable Trust for extending us a big support and being a helping hand to carry our our relief drive. Also, we thank Abhineet Mishra bhaiya for his support! And lastly, a big thank to all the donors who has been pouring their donations to us. ❤
We are looking forward to our fourth drive where our goal is to reach out to 200 more flood hit families in Dhekiajuli, Assam.

An initial survey was done by our team and monetary relief provided to around 30 families who had no food in the last 24 hours in the flood affected areas stretching from Doboka to Jamunamukh in Hojai.
It was very saddening to see more than 500 families and around 2000-2500 people being affected by the floods in three villages. Incessant rains and floods have destroyed and inundated roads that lead to these villages. It was a challenge to reach out to these villages in hip deep water, walking for more than 16kms back and forth, taking help of the bamboos that connected the streets on either side.
The present condition of the people is heart breaking. With houses inundated and inadequate ration left, they have lost hopes of rising up. Medical help is also an urgent necessity for the people of these areas.
It is a sincere request for everyone to please come forward and lend a helping hand by donating in cash or kind. Lets rebuild their homes and restore their hopes in humanity.

Of the recent incessant rains that have created havoc in the state, Assam has been drowning. Millions of people have been affected and homes been damaged in nature's wrath.
As of now around 7 lakh people have been affected and 9 deaths been recorded over 27 districts due to the floods.
People are losing hope and it's time we join hands to rebuild homes and restore their hopes.Our organisation has decided to bring a ray of hope through our Flood Relief Project that we have been doing for the last few years. We request everyone to come forward and help us in this initiative. All donations in the form of cash or kind shall be delivered to the people who affected by flood and are in need.

At least 9 people are dead in the Assam Floods and over 7,00,000 people have been affected across 27 districts.
Our team will be initiating relief drives to help the people who have been hit by this massive flood and are stranded in the flood affected areas. Details to be shared soon.

Floods have hit around 20 districts in Assam. Killing 3 and nearly 2,00,000 people and more than 50,000 animals have been affected so far.

"Life isn't happy and merry for everyone, for few have to walk over a carpet of thorns to survive."
Our team got the information about this person suffering from mental illness and taking shelter in rain and cold on the streets of Chandmari, Tezpur.
He was found in a state wherein he was unable to recall his details and identity. After taking into confidence, our team members initially took him to Civil Hospital after which he was referred to Tezpur Medical College and Hospital. Having shifted him there, he was diagnosed to be Covid Positive. Meanwhile we approached the Hon'ble Court in order to shift him to a better place which would be in the best of benefits for him as well as the general public. The Chief Judicial Magistrate directed to get him admitted to Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health.
With all the necessities being fulfilled, he has been shifted and is being further treated there. We pray for his speedy recovery and wish that he is able to get back to his normal self soon.

The UCI Foundation is a Non-Profit Organisation and the first of its kind to be driven by independent and young volunteers, forever at the service of the community. It was founded in 2017 by a group of friends who had a passion and zeal to work for the society. The Foundation was officially registered in 2019.
