We believe that Vertigrove-Hydro can provide an opportunity to urban dwellers to build their own small farm and there by learn to appreciate and understand nature's role in our life. By providing a smaller version of the farm we wish to invoke the latent passion to get back to agriculture and spring board into bigger ventures in farming. It is also an attempt to develop a sustainable lifestyle in
urban households by growing your food and composting the kitchen waste to fertigate your garden so that we are able co-exit better with nature.

We are thrilled to share the results from our project with school students.
The biggest win was how the children got attached to their plants and didn’t even feel like harvesting them. This is exactly what we wish to instil in these young minds through farming. We believe the students are able to appreciate and love nature more and develop a sensitivity towards our environment.
Kudos to these wonderful students who looked after their plants with utmost care and have successfully started their journey of urban farming!

Had an exciting workshop with the very vibrant students of St. Patrick's Academy. Students have planted Amaranth (Cheera) seedlings and will be taking care of them till harvest. This way they will be able to actually learn through their practical experience.

Conducted two wonderful workshops with the very enthusiastic and smart students of The Choice School and Bhavan's Adarsha Vidyalaya. We wish to empower children to grow their own food and set-up a farm in their homes by providing hands-on training on the latest and most effective farming techniques.
